Naturally, Wii sales are now declining, which was bound to happen at some point - but the main reason?
Kinect and Move, Sony and Microsoft decided to get in on the act and do it better - and in HD, meanwhile, the Wii is now sat there with old functionality, and becoming a bit dated.

This year would have been a good time to release the successor to the Wii, but so far, all thats been announced is the 3DS, which is good in itself, but is now facing competition with the NGP. What could the Wii possibly pull out of the hat now that PS and Xbox havent got?

Wii 3D HD :amazed:

But the PS3 and Xbox are already doing that...with a wider spectrum of game (especially for Move)

They're all going to have to go down the same route at some point, I could see the wii doing something like gloves, to replace the wiimote and buttons on the finger tips

That's the thing - Xbox has already done that, without gloves, they're currently preparing a free downloadable update for the Kinect, so that it can sense facial movements and finger movements - it already replicates your limb movements perfectly and recognizes your voice even WITH an accent

The DS was representative of what we got with the Wii, physical controls and a focus on casual gaming (which in fairness, the DS managed to buck up it's hardcore games in time). I think the 3DS' 3D mode and return to focusing on hardcore games is a sign of things to come with the Wii. A Wii successor will be announced soon I think, if they get the pricing right I reckon the Kinect would be screwed given it's outrageous price at the moment.

The thing is, Kinect - Up to four players
Move - One player, unless you purchase multiple Move controllers...not to mention the Eye thing xD

I can see Kinect fading out soon, it can't sustain itself on party games and from what I hear Dance Central's the only worthy game for it. There's a lack of games for it and there's no killer app.

It's sold well initially but there's nothing to keep people coming back to it.

I can see there being some good games coming to it in time

Solutions aren't the key :3

They rushed it out for the Christmas market without a steady stream of games to keep up the pace. A silly mistake. By the time the hardcore games do come out people won't care.

There's only one solution my friends,

They must have a Grand Theft Auto game for the Wii.
It's the only way.

Oh what the ******?

Any GTA [apart from china town wars rofl] >>>>>>>>>>> Saints Row

Saints Row 2 is a wanna-be GTA, They copied San Andreas and have the game play of that and Vice City.

It's horrible, I feel like a dick for making my mum buy it :(

GTA4 was miserable, Saints Row was wonderful. I've never played a game where you could run around as a transexual in S&M gear who has an army of pimps at her/his command.

Saints Row 2 absoloutely destroys GTA IV.

And I imagine multiple Move starter packs are still cheaper than one Kinect.

China Town Wars was an absoloutely fantastic game too. I imagine your predictable ignorance towards it stems from the fact that it's top down or the fact that your mum hasn't bought you a PSP or DS to play it on yet.

The first one is throwaway. SR2 is the true start to the series. Way more options, way more fun, way more refined.

Don't even dissapoint yourself with SR1.

I have a DSi and I have China Town wars, It's a step up from the old GTA Birds Eye Views but it's still rubbish.

You people are crazy.

Fun, Meh yeah.

But GTA IV is a far better game all around.
Saints Row is basically what everyone loved about San Andreas and what Rockstar Games threw away when making GTA IV.

You may aswell just play San Andreas.

SR2 was definitely better although I loved the first one as well, there was easily room for improvement but it was still a very good game
