"The American government secretly backed leading
figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been
planning “regime change” for the past three years,
The Daily Telegraph has learned. "
Why does America not stay in its own nation
problems.
This is how WW3 could start.
"The American Embassy in Cairo helped
a young dissident attend a US-sponsored summit
for activists in New York, while working to keep
his identity secret from Egyptian state police."

This could end very badly.
Don't get me wrong, I hate Mubarak too and wouldn't suggest for a second I'd know half as well as the Egyptians do how bad it must be to have to live there, but I hate revolutions and coups in general. They destroy great cultures such as the Ancien Regime of France, Imperial Russia, China and of course Iran (a revolution that won the support of a previous left-leaning US president).

He has Jets flying over now (shown on SkyNews)
but to many banks he owns
so I do not think he will go - unless he picks who
takes over.

As usual the arrogant gung ho Americans sticking their nose in and stirring up trouble, as if they haven't got enough problems in their own back yard to sort out.

From SkyNews report

So thats why Barrack talks that way
as if he has, for example , a mains plug attached.
80Million there
A Void of Bad control scares Saudi Arabia.
I do not think in Iran they would try this
as they would be killed and put in prison fast.

Egypt has always been unstable and in 2001 when I took my two sons there on holiday we saw armed soldiers everywhere. When we were in Aswan we went on an excursion to Abu Simbel which necessitated leaving at 4am - about an hour into the coach journey, the coach was stopped by soldiers and several boarded the coach and sat with the passengers. It was very intimidating sitting with two heavily armed soldiers right behind us, but the guide told us it was for our own protection against terrorists. There have been several terrorist attacks in Egypt over the past decade and many tourists have been killed, so it has never been the safest of destinations.

But wants to stay on in the background until Sept.
So many Money Deals to tiddy up.
I do not think the public will allow him to stay
but "maybe"
he has Special Troops
that protect him from everyone around him.
While this goes on
Our Petrol will go up Even More soon,
Simply due the the Yanks Panic buying.

This song has been stuck in my head all week now, because of Egypt being all over the news. I think they should play it at the inauguration of their next leader.

So long as there's plenty in it for America - they'll be there with their size 12s in the door, often uninvited and unwelcome like the drunken uncle no-one wants at the wedding. Altruistic is not a word I would use to describe the Americans:rolleyes: However, opportunistic, exploitative, self interested? - Hell Yes!

So it's a win/win situation. :)

While they stay in that Sq
that nation is losing around 200million pounds each day.
That leader is not leaving under there demand.
and he says they can stay there
(of course he does not need to worry he has lots of food).
They are wrecking the nations money
over nothing as he will not stand in power again
and will not get out of that area until Sept.

Mubarak is still clinging onto power despite the massive demonstrations!
The Americans are not as influential as they thought then, eh? Just hope they resolve this soon, without any more bloodshed.

There was the same Joy in 1978/79
when Iranians got rid of the Shah.
Then they found out they would have been better keeping
him compared to the Current Evil ones.

Sometimes the devil you know, is better than the devil you don't. Egypt could be very vulnerable at the moment.

I hope it turns out for the best. Egyptians have every right to hate Mubarak and his Western supporters, but military coups (and that's what this is, lets face it) rarely end well.
Either way, this is a time for Obama, Cameron, et al to keep their noses out.

But they will never admit it

I do not need to read story in newspaper
I knew from day one USA was behind the Egyptian crisis.
It so obvious watching rolling news coverage on BBC news 24 for 2-3 days.
It is all propaganda from western media and has now gone onto Iran, Libya, Algeria even Bahrain!?!?!
Every so called "expert" they talk to was picked to brainwash the public into thinking Mubarak was some kind of Hitler, it is bollocks
Mubarak was the best leader in the middle east. He was not a lunatic religious fanatic and he kept the country in order.
Angus

Whatever Mubarak's faults, to a large extent Egypt has served as a buffer between the more extreme Islamic countries and the West. Who knows what form a new leadership will take?
