The BBC's Waterloo Road is to run its most controversial storyline yet.
Sexy Spanish teacher Miss Montoya will embark on an elicit affair with a pupil, in the new series of the school-based drama that returns this Wednesday.
The plot begins in the first episode of the new series, when year 12 pupil Jonah Kirby finds himself comforting Miss Montya after a brutal dog attack. As the pair get closer, Miss Montoya tries to deny her feelings by dating several male teachers at the school, but it is to of no avail.
A source tells a Waterloo Road fan site "This term challenges Cesca’s sense of right and wrong like never before as she finds herself falling in love with year 12 pupil Jonah Kirby"
They add: "Cesca will eventually decide to give in to temptation and embark on a passionate affair".
Miss Montoya, played by Karen David, will risk her career as she falls deeper in love.
The controversial storyline comes after the series beat Coronation Street and Doctor Who to win Best Drama in the National Television Awards.
Waterloo Road returns this Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One.
