As of today. Not sure if it's regional or nationwide but isn't walking 4 at a time too many? How could one person possibly handle 4 dogs if they decided to attack?
I believe theres a £1000 fine if you're seen walking more than 4. Dog walking companies are up in arms .......
I'm all for it.

I bet BBC HD are pissed off.
They'll have to update their ident that shows this guy in shorts, running with his dogs on a lead.
There's like 5 Dogs
They best edit it or I'm sure some deranged parent will be heading to Ofcom complaining how 'if i can't walk my 5 dogs neither can that dick on the telly!'

Theres a woman in our local park who walks about 7 or 8. I never even knew it was illegal to walk more than 6. I'm assuming she walks them for people. That or has a very full house!
There's actually a law against it? That's dumb..

I bet you just stand there, rather than kick them or shout in the middle of the park like some mad bastard you probably just let them run around your legs whilst you're literally like:
:bored: 'Every..Time!' :bored:

Call the police on the Ho, Or tell her next time you see her it's Illegal and see what she does rofl.
It'd be funny if she ran home in tears and handed herself in or something. :joker:

She lets them off the leads too. Little twatting things torment my dog plus chase anyone on a bike. I hate confrontation or else I'd scream at her. My OH has :joker:

I would have thought it depends how big they are. Big difference between 4 rottweilers and 4 chihuahuas.

You'd think so. But I guess they can't 'discriminate'
Still, I do think it's right to limit how many people can walk

Don't know how anyone can walk more than one
When my mum walks the dog, she's like running after him, anymore and she'd be down ;s

Give it a year, everyone including the police will forget such a law exists.

I doubt it gets enforced much. Another one of those laws just there to set a guideline.
This thread, hard to take it seriously :joker: :joker: :joker: :joker:

There isnt a law limiting any number of dogs you can walk at any one time.
Local bye Laws may limit the number you can walk at one time.
The Control of Dogs Act (1992), Welfare of Animals (Transport) Order 2006 Animal Welfare Act, Duty to Care Policy are the relevant statutory instruments governing walking dogs and they simply state you must have adequate control over the dogs to prevent damage to them, yourself, other people, animals and property.
London Parks that fall under Corporation of London control had a non enforceable limit of six dogs, they have now asked dog owners and dog walkers to limit the number of dogs being walked by one person to four is all.

Got to love councils. They have to be seen to be doing something, so they bring out more Local Bye Laws instead of enforcing the laws already in place. There are a couple of English councils have bye laws stating you cant walk a dog on leads longer than 2 metres.
I would prefer if they restricted the age of dog walkers. I have seen youngsters walking dogs where they had no control over a single dog. Then you get some people who do have well trained packs of dogs.
Looks like Leeds wont to asked to host any dog sledding competitions then?

Indeed it's down to each local authority that make local regulations within the frame work of what freedom the government allows.
I have a friend who walks 4 jack russel type dogs......She is quite well organise and in her 70's......
I think the law should concentrate on the size of the dogs and the age of the owners......
It should be against the law for children to walk more than one large dog......if any depending on the age/size of the child. Equally it should be against the law for a frail elderly person to walk more than one large dog.
People and indeed other peoples dogs need to be protected from those that are irresponsible in what they try to attempt.....
I am a dog owner/walker and on many occasion have been very concerned at large dogs possibly escaping from their owners.......On one occasion I just managed to save a dog I had from the jaws of a rotweiler that had broken free from a woman not strong enough to hold it........
The idea of children walking large animals is frightening both for the children and other peoples pets.......
The law needs to be more sensibly written on a national basis and then ruthlessly enforced.....
