I know BBC shows it live, is the Super Bowl a big deal in the UK?

The only people I know into American Football on here are Claymores and MTVN. It's not big at all in Ireland. I was in Boston years ago though when the super bowl was on and the Patriots(I think) were in the final and I couldn't believe how crazy everyone was for it!
