DS (digital spy) were at Channel 5's press breakfast this morning, the channel's comissioners' official line regarding BB was "talks are ongoing", confirming that
Channel 5 and Endemol are at the very least talking again.
All schtum about Big Brother at Channel 5 breakfast. "Talks are ongoing" is the official line.
DS's reality editor Alex Fletcher reads into the line by Jeff Ford in the TBI article as them keeping quiet until the deal's signed and their ready to announce:
@DigitalSid He did say that, but I don't think it was a negative comment. I think it is still up in the air. They were just keeping schtum

So It won't be confirmed on Monday then?
I said "at the very least" talking again (after talks stalling in september), i.e. they could be and are likely as The Guardian states, just ironing out the final few creases, crossing the is and dotting ts or the Guardian's source(s) could be being a bit quick off the mark and talks are still at an advance stage, they're not going into it (hence Jeff Ford's line).
Either way, at least we know that talks are indeed back on and the show's return a possibility.
Guess we'll see Monday.
(Though they might, this news likely to overshadow any other programme announcements the make and not wanting to rush the contractual small print, announce their schedule Monday and BB later in the week, if today's announcement wasn't Monday's bought forward)
EDIT - Seems tooday's announcement was Monday's announcement bought forward, so unless they've moved it to now so they can announce BB separately we won't find out Monday.

This is the Spring line up would it not be likely for Big Brother to feature in the Summers line up because that's when it will air?
None the less hopefully there's more news on Monday. :)

This forum is for discussion of all rumours related to the possibility of a future series not BB in general, therefore pointless to keep discussion about the possibility of future series focusing on different developments/rumours to one or two threads is it? Otherwise "Big Brother 12" may aswell be one large merged topic in the BB in general forum. A forum is meant to house multiple discussions.
X Factor discussion in the dedicated X Factor forum isn't kept to one or two threads is it? ;) They're all basically about the same thing (X Factor) are they not? So why not keep discussion to 1 or 2 topics? For the same reason as here, because it's illogical and needless too ;).

No I'm not..
The first thread points out that talks have resumed;
The second draws attention to the fact that today's rather meh announcement is actally the big Monday announcement bought forward and that unless a deal happens to be closed today and enough details are agreed by Monday for them to quickly announce it, the previously speculated announcement is not going ahead then.
and the third one questions the reason for Denise Van Outten's bizarre sudden dropping out of Five's already announced new show and whether it's so she can do another project for the channel, BB.
It just so happens that all these things DS have covered before anyone else (not being a BB fan site but having the largest BB forum).
