View Full Version : Deal signed with Denise Van Outen hosting?

If she had said contractual obligation before she signed up for OKTV!, then her/her agent's solictor surely would have known and pointed it out before allowing her to agree to anything? And would Desmond really allow her to buy out of / agree to terminate her contract for a better offer recieved since as last minute as three days before it starts / because she had a contractual obligation prior to signing that she / her agent has only just become aware of? The only logical conclusion really is that this contractual obligation is new and for a newly comissioned / acquired bigger than OKTV! channel 5 show not included in today's line up announcement ;).

So what do we think? The only thing that really goes against my theory is the "both parties wish eachother the very best". Which suggests whatever the other contractual obligation is, it's not with them, but again, I just can't see Desmond, the guy who tried to get out of paying for failed comissions, simply accepting that at this late a stage.

Yes it would look silly saying as her Flu was so bad
she pulled out.

So the spokeperson has smoothed it over.


Its like this was all set up some time ago
tests did well
but by the 1st Impotrtant show
she would not look or sound good with Flu.

Not personally but I do know of his reputation and have heard whispers about his conduct and I don't think the flu has anything to do with it, though it is very odd and C5 did sack all male announcers just after Desmond tookover (presumably part of an attempt to make the channel feel more aimed at women and titalise their husbands).

He sacked anyone that would not do what he wanted.

Nope he definitely non-descriminately sacked all announcers, it was reported by Media Guardian one day and confirmed by one of said male announcers the next.

I cant see why, DVO has pulled out of this show, when we the public & presume the C5 people wont know how the schedules if & when BB comes back.

All seems pretty odd to me.

Why would she pull out of one C5 show, OKtv, at the last minute, for another (presumably) one, BB? It makes no sense.

Presumably she realised OKtv was probably going to be rubbish and got cold feet.

Why does the new presenter have to be well known?
Makes no difference to the state of the show. Anyway, I was talking about Denise, although don't really think she'd do BB.
