New OFCOM DTT licence: Yesterday +1

The OFCOM DTT Licence page has been updated today.

Changes include:•Addition of Yesterday +1 (Today? )
•Addition of Adult station "Elite" (already on air, I think?)
•Removal of Supercasino (Channel ceased ages ago)
•Removal of Manchester Teleshopping channels (following the addition of Movies4Men earlier this month)

Argos TV to replace JML Cookshop on Tuesday 14th June

JML Cookshop on channel 642 closes down at 7am on Tuesday morning.

Looks like the EPG slot has been bought by Home Retail Group and the channel is replaced with the soft launch of the upcoming Argos TV and the full launch as it currently stands is 7pm on Wednesday evening with the 'Launch Show'

Freeview channel guide - retune required 30/06/11?

Even though the Freeview channel guide, may not be the best official source, as there are number of inaccuracies, they do however indicate to retune on 30th June to continue watching Dave Ja Vu.

However, I do think this is a mistake, but I could be wrong, but it was required to do a retune on 30/06/10 to continue watching Dave Ja Vu as it moved from Mux D to Mux C.

The other mistakes are ITV2+1 on LCN 33, which by 1st April 2011 (where this guide is dated from) has already moved in January to LCN 27; strangely suggests it to be on LCN 27 before switchover, so a move to LCN 33 after switchover?

Wales 06:00 to 19:00 is noted by *** but to no channel; however, we know that should be attached to Challenge - I wonder it was attached to Channel One - that's been removed correctly, but so has the appending note?

Sky Three and Sky Three +1 are still included even though the Pick TV logo is displayed on the 1st page. Shockingly still, despite closing on 1st February 2010, Lottery Xtra is still on the list.

Seemingly, this is a case of copy and paste for most things from Spring 2010, but additions such as Challenge and Capital FM and Channel 5, Five*, 5USA logos and CNN has been removed - despite the placeholder still being available.

Disney is extending its HD portfolio of channels with the rollout of the Disney Channel in the superior format.

Disney Channel HD, aimed at children aged 6-14, will launched on Sky on 16 September with a series of music shorts performed by Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez, dubbed Disney Pop Stop (working title).

The shorts will join a range of programming to be broadcast in HD including including Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up and Fish Hooks.

Boel Ferguson, general manager of Disney Channels UK, said HD would bolster the broadcaster’s strongest raft of new shows. “HD is the ultimate standard for broadcasting,” he said.

The Disney Channel HD joins existing Disney HD stations, which kicked off with Disney Cinemagic in December 2008 before Dismey XD in October 2010.
