Ever actually felt that? I know it's a saying "Ooooh I'm chilled to the bone!!"

I've had a few times where a bone or bones feel like they are actually aching due to cold inside. I'm assuming a mixture of exercise too. Usually my shins. Ugh, it's awful. Anyone else? It actually feels inside the bone!

Yeah one time in Winter on a Roofless Double Deck tour bus.
I felt dead.

Remember once sledging as a kid. I stayed out all day. I could barely walk home

I can safely say that having recently spent 8 odd hours stuck on the M8 motorway in about 2.5ft of snow in a car with limited petrol in it and not being able crank up the heater - then having to abandon said car about 2 miles from home and having to use shank's pony for the final stretch home when outside temps were around -5 degrees - Yes, I know exactly what chilled to the bone means - and how long it takes to get the core heat levels back up again.

Walking back to my friend's flat while high on what must have been the coldest night of the year before the snow came along. I was so cold I actually couldn't talk.
