I remember someone suggested before the idea of a TiBB Book club idea where a book is chosen and you are given a certain amount of time to read it and review it. Shame nothing much came of it, I would have taken part.

Well I would use it anyway and take part in a book club but I don't think many people would bother with it. I think the admins should make one for like a month and then remove it if it's dead but I'd like one anyway.

the problem with the book club is people all have to read the same thing and that can be annoying for people, but from what I can see alot of people on the site like to read, so it would be good to see reviews etc

To be honest when i started this thread i meant a book forum, not a book club, cause everyone has got different taste in books they like to read, i just think it would be good, for people tell us what they are reading & get people suggestions on books they have read, that type of thing.

Well, people who can't buy the book could download an ebook if they don't mind downloading ebooks. :joker: I think it would be good to discuss though.

I know that but it's effort and maybe they're not interested in that particular book, I'm just saying there is a few reasons why Book Clubs fail
Mr Pip by Lolyd Jones is a great read - I know I've mentioned it on here before but it really is that good, its a short book and easy read but very powerful.
I would also recommend:
The Girls by Lori Lansens, a story about conjoined twins
This Book Will save Your Life - this is about a guy who gets his enthusiasm for life back quite literally through buying doughnuts
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night time - about a boy with OCD
and
anything by Alexander McCall Smith - either the Lady Detective series or the 44 Scotland Street series, the characters are hilariously eccentric
It's Asperger's Syndrome. Not OCD. Surely you would have gained that from reading it?

Sorry its a while since I read it and your right, Asperger's Syndrome
Yes I like the sound of this actually, I'd use it

Maybe books could be added to the music and film forum? I can't see it being active enough for it's own section.....

I'm terrible for reading a lot of text from a screen. I need it in paper form. It's quite odd.
