Saw this today on yahoo -
Boy George has addressed the rumours that he could be up as a judge on 'The X Factor'. "I'd do it, but it depends how much they would pay me and if I could have Cheryl's wardrobe budget," he said. [The Sun]
I would be delighted to see George as a judge. I think he would be entertaining.
What's your opinion - or do you have any other suggestions for possible judges? - or any relevant opinions re X Factor judges?
Niamh.

Boy george would be an interesting choice, atleast he was a successful artist at one point.

Judge Louis Walsh believes he's going to be on again - but is of the opinion that there may be two new judges Possibly someone like Sir Paul McCartney or Bob Geldof.”
He also likes the idea of Sharon Osborne's possibly coming back. Opinions re these three - and Boy Geoge, please.

I can't see the judges changing, it seems like Dannii and Louis are shoe ins and ITV have said that Simon Cowell isn't leaving the UK one and if he can do both then there's no reason Cheryl can't if she becomes a judge on XFUS.

There has to be change if Simon and Cheryl are leaving for the US.

I'd love to see paul McCartney or Bob Geldof even more

But Simon isn't and the rumours have said he's making plans for them both to commute between the shows. If it's possible to do both then why fix something that isn't broken?

that's a matter of opinion really, I reckon Cheryls X-Factor Queen crown has well and truly slipped and Simon is nothing more than Cheryls bitch these days

I meant in the sense that the current line-up is popular with audiences rather then my own personal opinion. Why change that when it's still possible to sustain it?
If any judge does leave it'll be Cheryl as there's not been much said from her camp so it'd be a female replacement. Nicole Scherzinger is heavilly rumoured for the US one so I couldn't see it being her. Unless Dannii leaves then it's not going to be Sharon. I can see a Spice Girl replacing her realistically.

Yeah, I suppose you're right, they're still raking in the money though Dannii seems to be out doing Cheryl now in the popularity stakes and Simon has completely lost his bite imo
A spice girl ew it's too much to hope for to get someone like Paul McCartney or Bob Geldof I guess :(
Gary Barlow and Nichole Scherzinger would do. Or George Michael.

Another quote just to add a little more confusion!:
X Factor judges Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh have reportedly signed deals which will see the pair return for the eighth series of The X Factor later this year. The duo are thought to have been offered a substantial pay increase – to a massive £1.25 million each – for their return to the show as Cowell and Cole leave the panel for the US.
According to the Sunday Mirror, show boss Simon Cowell believes the pair are the “*lynchpins of the British show” and believes the programme could struggle without either.
The paper claims Dannii and Louis will be joined by Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger on a new look panel to be unveiled in the spring, as Simon Cowell and Cheryl leave for The X Factor USA.
A source told the tabloid: “There’s no way they’ll go off and forget about the UK show. Simon and Cheryl will be *involved in some way during the UK series.”
Applications for the 2011 series of The X Factor are now closed, pre-auditions will begin in March with filming for the live auditions starting in May.

Gary Barlow, by all accounts seems a popular choice, for some, to fill one job.

Simon Cowell has reportedly ruled himself out of judging the 2011 series of The X Factor in the UK, revealing he plans on spending at least 6 days a week in the States launching the US version of the show. The news, reported in The Mirror this morning, will come as a blow to ITV who signed a 3-year-deal for the show last year.
The news comes after Simon Cowell started his launch of the US X Factor by airing a number of adverts on US telly and announcing details of auditions and the prize – more than £3 million in cash as well as a recording contract. Or what about Gerry Springer? ???
Cowell said: “You’ve got to put your money where your mouth is. Putting up that kind of money is a massive risk but also an incredible incentive.
He added: “America has the best talent in the world.”
Auditions for The US version of The X Factor begin on March 27 in LA.

Simon Cowell seems to be "out" - so who will head the team of judges in UK? ??? I like Piers Morgan as a judge - but obviously he's too taken up with his new career on CNN. Maybe "The Hoff" could be considered?

Boy George would be epic!!
Other worthy music artists for the role would be....
Gary Barlow, Paul McCartney, Bob Geldof, Lily Allen, Charlotte Church.
A Spice Girl would be a good idea!! Victoria Beckham would be good but she lives in the USA. PLEASE TO GOD THOUGH... NOT Emma bloody Bunton!!
I think Mel B would be the best Spice for the job!!

I like the idea of (Sir) Bob Geldof. I think we could be guaranteed some honesty and straight talking as well as a good grasp of the business.

Would not like Charlotte Church. I find her affected and irritating.

I hate Bob Geldof so I hope he stays away, I still think Simon will stay on the UK Series though.

Agree with you there, James. I think, apart from Simon, Dannii is the best judge.

Today on Yahoo:
Cheryl Cole quits X Factor?
It is being reported that Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell have left their judging positions on The X Factor.
It has been suggested that they are both heading to the US version of the show.
The judging panel will be left down to Louis Walsh and Danni Minogue, giving rise to rumours that the show is getting a revamp on it's look.
Reports say that Jordan, Robbie Williams, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and British singer Adele could be their fill-in judges if they do go.
The X Factor live tour is currently heading around the country, kicking off in Birmingham.
I would like Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger to fill in. Don't think Jordan would have much credibility as a judge.
