They're currently doing a 'Greatest Frontmen' feature. Of course since it's fan-voted, it's going to be dire. Let's take a look at their current top 20.

1. Matt Bellamy (Muse)
2. Robert Smith (The Cure)
3. Brandon Flowers (The Killers)
4. Freddie Mercury (Queen)
5. Jared Leto (30STM)
6. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
7. Jim Morrison (The Doors)
8. Thom Yorke (Radiohead)
9. Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones)
10. Jack White (White Stripes/Raconteurs/The Dead Weather)
11. Ian Curtis (Joy Division)
12. Jimi Hendrix
13. Julian Casablancas (The Strokes)
14. Morrissey (The Smiths)
15. Damon Albarn (Blur)
16. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
17. Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys)
18. Ian Brown (Stone Roses)
19. Debbie Harry (Blondie)
20. Joe Strummer (Clash)

Brandon Flowers ahead of Mercury...Jagger only 9th...no Liam Gallagher, Lennon/McCartney...Jared Leto included at all...

facepalm.

and omg. I can't even start on Matt Bellamy. I just don't know where to begin.

I'm a Muse fan and even I think that's a sh*t list. Matt Bellamy has a stage presence of a goldfish.

I love Muse and Matt is top 10 worthy but more like 8 or 9. Freddie is definitely the ultimate front man no question.

Robert Smith is a hysterical choice too, and I bum him. It's like they are voting on personality and not frontman antics. Robert puts in a great performance but he basically just stands there singing and playing guitar.

Not a fan of NME, but blame the voters, not the publication.

Muse are your classic 'but you have to see them live' band, because nobody has any right to criticise their half-arsed songs that they are paid millions to record until they have forked out £50 to share a moshpit with a gaggle of greasy hormonal adolescents to listen to their shite at deafening volumes.

And just LOL @ the inclusion of a charisma vacuum like Julian Casablancas yet no sign of Iggy Pop or Jarvis Cocker.
