Gallagher slams Radiohead, Mumford & Sons
Liam Gallagher has hit out at Radiohead and Mumford & Sons.
Speaking to The Quietus, the Beady Eye frontman suggested that Mumford & Sons should have seemed more enthusiastic about winning a Brit Award.
Gallagher said: "I think it's alright but they were ******ing ashamed about winning and that's the ******ing sad bit. 'Oh, we shouldn't be here!' Then what did you join a ******ing band for then?
"They bow their heads down going, 'Oh, we don't deserve it' like a ******ing d**k. What's that about? You must have seen it before so don't pretend like you've just come out of a cider apple factory... Still, it's better than Take That, isn't it?"
Talking about the lack of experimentation on Beady Eye's debut Different Gear, Still Speeding, he added: "We're quite happy doing the rock 'n' roll thing. We just like what we do. I heard that ******ing Radiohead record and I just go, 'What?!' I like to think that what we do, we do ******ing well.
"Them writing a song about a ******ing tree? Give me a ******ing break! A thousand year old tree? Go ****** yourself! You'd have thought he'd have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?"
Oh go away you hateable little man and take your Oasis B-sides tribute band with you.
