A shock Dancing On Ice twist will reportedly see one group of the remaining celebrities have their scores doubled.

The Sun claims that the remaining six will be split into two groups who will each perform together following their individual routines on Sunday night. The three members of the winning group will be rewarded by having their points doubled.

"The twist will completely change the competition because somebody who usually scrapes by could end up at the top of the leaderboard," a source told the paper. "Likewise, favourites to win like Sam Attwater could end up in the bottom two."

They added: "The celebs were shocked. There could be an upset."

Laura Hamilton, who survived last nights skate-off against Vanilla Ice, commented on Twitter: "It's going to be a crazy week with this twist! Anything can happen."

Hamilton remains in the competition with Chloe Madeley, Sam Attwater, Johnson Beharry, Denise Welch and Jeff Brazier.

Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday at 6.35pm on ITV1.

If Johnson and Denise are topping the votes as some believe, then this is probably the producers way of trying to oust them before the final. They just can'#t leave be in these type shows any more. It makes a mockery of peoples voting when they do that to get the result they want rather than what the viewing/voting public want.

Not keen on this twist either but if it keeps Chloe in the show on Sunday i'll be happy and even more so if Johnson gets the boot eventually, which i'm sure he won't:(.

This would have been a great BB twist - winner/s of a task nominations' are worth 2.

I agree, I am tired of these silly twists in these competitions now, it is becoming ridiculous. It actually sounds silly as well as awful.

I wasn't in the same room as the TV at the time but did I hear that Sams 'captain' of one group and Laura the other? I'm sure thats what they said.....

Yeah it's Sam, Chloe and Johnson vs Laura, Denise and Jeff.

Hmmm fair mix then in abilities. Unfair in the twist itself and the double points thing
