What is it about Bacon Sannies?

The vast majority of folk love 'em - bacon butties.

Well cooked,crispy bacon, between fresh bread buttered with a liberal spreading of Lurpak,topped off with a bit of HP Sauce.

Why is it sooooooooooo delicious. What makes bacon sannies one of the best tastes!!

What's the one food that makes your mouth water?

(someone elses chips with salt n vinegar on them is another mouth drooling one!)

With a bacon sandwich it's when the butter and tomato sauce fuse together and you get that really nice taste, plus that first bite mmmmmmmmmmmmm oh god I might go buy some bacon lol

I love them, tempted to go make one now but I can never get the bacon right :laugh:

Oh and it needs a nice cup of sweet tea too! Perfect combo :D

Ooohhh..... totally agree with the very hot sweet cup of tea. Bite of crispy bacon buttie, butter oozing from the bread mixed with bacon juice, slurping it off fingers....... then washed down with mouthful of hot tea.

Might smash and egg and have a bacon and egg sannie too. :blush:

What is it thought that makes it sooooooo tantalizing? Sure, the salt content is a given, but why bacon? Why don't other cured / smoked meats have the same effect? :conf:

Close your eyes. Imagine the cracking and spitting of bacon in a hot frying pan, the aroma of that sweet cured salty smell filling the kitching and wafting out into the living room....................... mouth salivating at the anticipation of biting into that hot crispy delicious sandwich. mmmmmmm
