at the totally wrong times......

Checking the cupboards and fridge this morning, there was nothing that shouted out, "EAT ME"......

but what I did have was the most bizarre craving for chip butties. I mean home made cut from fresh pototaoes, deep fried in hot oil, lots of salt n vinegar, heaps of freshly cooked chips smushed between 2 slices of buttered bread with a hot cuppa.

Have just downed the lot and has got to be one of the most satisfying simple, but completely non convential Sunday brekkies I had for a very long time.

Who else has had weird 'out of synch' temptations that they've given into!

I am a hopeless midnight snacker and actually had cream tea at about 12:30 am last night. Made me feel slightly nauseous afterwards though, because it there was so much sugar in it. Won't be doing that again soon.

Kiddy bread made by Warbutons. Its small slices and really thin but its amazing, its like the best sex you've ever had in food form.

Youll notice it now you've heard of it, I highly reccommend you get some next time you're in the supermarket!

Hot croissants and nutella .... now that sounds sheer bliss. I love nutella - been known to buy a jar and literally eat spoonfuls of it. Everything about it, taste, texture...... damn, I want some now.

Kiddy Bread's a new one on me.... funny enough, it's Warburtons that I eat - must look out for it next time!

Reminds me of my brother's favourite snack - cold porridge sandwiches with lots of sugar. Used to make me want to throw up, seriously.

I love cheddar cheese and pickled beetroot sarnies, yum!

Mind you, our turkey never lasts beyond the actual day. It gets left on the side and everyone picks until it's gone

experimenting with ice cream is fun too... (that sounds dodgy but bear with me).

I only had vanilla one time so I broke up a kit kat and mixed it in B&J's style :spin2:

a couple for you to try:

vanilla ice cream in a glass of coke is nice

also pour a bit of vodka or whiskey over vanilla ice cream if you want a bit of a kick out of it :joker:

as for turkey, we keep ours for about a month and I still eat it even when its dry and clearly out of date
