well for me i know i dont like watching big brother for reasons that may be conventional. i like working out the social aspects and the actual social experiment aspects which have dissapeaerd a bit. but when i watch it also feel i get emotionally attached to people in the house and like feel as if i know them even though i dont and they have no idea who i am.

so basically i wanted to know why people liked it and also do people agree that big brother is superficial trashy tv.

personally i think that people who call it trashy have a point about later seasons but i think they are watching it with a wrong eye and dont appreciate the aspects of it which are good.

but i think bb8 and before were deffinately a whole lot better for the reasons i like it. but i certainly still ennjoyed bb9 and above.

i stoped likeing it after bb7 they could never top it no matter how hard they tryed i must admit i onli enjoyed it when there was a element of suprise i like the fact bb could screw with these pepoles heads but they never did use it to there full advantage if u ask me if it was an experament then it was a half assed attempt, the producera really did have the chance too push these 'wannabes' to the limit they could have done so much but it went rong after bb8 and its nones fault the production team just lost there way.

BB10 and BB8 were awful. The rest were classic.

BB10 was one of favourites. BB4 was awful though!

All my favourite series had really good couples in them. Besides that it was an interesting, random, funny show.

I like it more for the drama and arguments but I did love the Helen and paul romance

Agreed , Some parts of both seasons were really good but overall it was awful! My Personal opinion is that big brother 1 -3 were classic and big brother 5-7 were the golden years. I really enjoyed bb9 and i thought bb11 was one of the best but in bb10 it just failed , the tasks , the housemates , EVERYTHING!

The HMS of BB10 were epic, maybe not very likeable but so many big characters there!! It could have been the best season ever if more effort was put into tasks, twists etc by the producers!

I think BB10 and 11 had the opposite problems.
I didn't like it much at the time, but looking back BB10 did have a pretty good cast of characters (despite one or two toms, I mean duds) but was let down by awful tasks, production, etc. Whereas whilst BB11 production was quite simple it was kind of fresh, great house, good ideas, nice atmosphere, but a lot of the housemates were either too samey to each other or just uninteresting.

i just think after bb7/8 the production team just had a harder time because they were no longer able to pull the wool over peoples eyes because they expected twists. so after they had to do tasks that were just plain and boring. the whole leaving the house for tasks was ridiculous in my opinion because it completely destroyed the concept behind the programme.
