I think that those who do believe in such things are highly susceptible to autosuggestion.

Nope, not a bit  But if someone pisses you off, it has to be fun to pretend you do and stick pins in a dolly of them  :joker:

One once threatened me with that if I didn't buy a stone off her. I was young and stupidly did. Wish I'd told her where to go now. Cost me a quid

We get them down here trying to sell dried lavender. If I want dried lavender I'll go into my garden pick some and dry it out myself. :bored:

Me too! I've been getting a few of those Nigerian scam emails lately, so I like to reply with a colourful "gypsy" curse - they are getting progressively more inventive:joker:

:joker:

Why did she curse you? :joker:

because I wouldn't buy none of her silly bracelets off her. came up in a load of bite marks, looked like flea bites or something :/

I'm not saying the two are relaetd, but I'd like to say they are for added effect :joker:

It would be quite funny (in a really awful way) if Niall now stood on a drawing pin or something similar :laugh2:

No its just crazy superstition and brainwashing baloney

that said, I do love the idea of sticking pins in a doll. Therapeutic if nothing else.

I would say I don't believe in it but I do find it unnerving too.

No bloody idea.

But I think my mum and dad do because when I was young, I am not too sure what was wrong with me but I was in hospital a lot, doctors gave me a few months to live. I would be out of school for months. Anywya, since my parents were scared to lose me they brought me to some person that washed me in some river that was supposedly holy. After that I apparently wrote a letter to Jesus saying please jesus don't let me die, I don't want to go to hospital anymore..:joker: well i'm still here. But funny a few weeks ago I dreamt I was me when I was little. So in the dream it was me when I was little versus me how I am now. Little me was in a forest in a dress i loved when I was little..i swear that forest was the forest where they "washed me" anyway big me asked little me..."what happened?" little me replied " it wasn't me it wasn;t me...I promise..." so to sum it up....I don't ****ing know if I believe in it or not.:bawling: But It was nice chatting to little me. I wish I could give her more advice. :D

I saw it first when I was about 12 or something at school. Those 'lets have a video, it's the last day before Summer holidays' days and loved it. Then, as you say, you grow up and see it again and it's crazy :joker: I so have to see it again now

Nope but I know a few people who do.

Incidentally voodoo isnt only about cursing people and doll images are used to good effect as well as bad in the eyes of the followers of that religious belief.

What is it you want doing, and to whom?

Vicky to suffer chest pains or Scott to fall in love with you?

They have no more effect than wishing good or ill for someone.
