I think it will be waste of time, we have a Government that doesn't listen to its people and the minor part of the coalition Govt, even almost misled the public to get votes and then abused the power of the seats given to them by those votes.
Having done that, they will just blatantly ignore protestors amd marches like they have already with others.

I just feel marches are old hat now, I cannot be bothered with them even if I agree with the protests or reasons for them.
With the Internet there are better vehicles for mass support there for causes and protests as you point out what inevitably happens is protests and matches get hijacked by others with a more violent agenda maybe, or even some(usually a minority) of the protesters take things too far.
Personally I never understood why the Royal car was allowed anywhere near where the protesters were anyway, in this age of mass communication it would not have been in any way difficult ro re-route the car.
Also I don't know if you will agree but I feel the media there will just be waiting for someone to start kicking off and then blast that all over the front pages. Just a waste of time and energy in my view are marches etc. now.
Just wait until the tartan army arrive on sunday.

Are the younger crew thinking they can match the Libya fight
or are they going to smash cars tomorrows?
Starts at 11AM from Victoria
Over 4,500 Police are getting ready.
Direct Action of taking over buildings
will be the problem.
The TUC think it will be a peaceful event?

"Personally I never understood why the Royal car was allowed anywhere near where the protesters were anyway, in this age of mass communication it would not have been in any way difficult ro re-route the car."
That is easy as the car went on another route (Due to the Riot)
so they were not ready or able to move fast so became stuck in a traffic jams
for a few mins - enough time to attack that car.
They had to get to Covent Garden for the TV recording
so going below the oxford street Riot was wise
until it hit them.

Successive governments since the 1960's have made this country into "nanny state" and the people of this country into dependant, immature wingers. No wonder other western countries think we are all wasters.
Despite the obvious logic that the money-pot is empty they cry "I want, I want, I want" and smash everything up, like demented infants. Or. like some amateur lawyers, think they are somehow better equipped to run a nation (Hitler and Stalin thought like that)
NOTHING in life is a given. Winging or charging around complaining only does more harm. If you think there is a big conspiracy you are deluding yourself.
The overwhelming majority of people in this country support its government. There are many independant organisations as a constant check on this. By creating this kind of mayhem they are only undermining our country and the rest of us in the eyes of our competitors. OUR CULTURE NEEDS TO GET REAL!!

Many more there than I thought would be. However after reading more into the budget I was as a young person with my life ahead of me appalled to see the Govt had cut the winter fuel allowance for pensioners by £50.
What a petty disgrace that is, pensioners should not be having this done, Cameron pledged to keep the winter fuel allowance and although he can say he has he has not kept it as it was if it is cut by £50. No wonder decent people are taking to the streets to protest.
Shocking, to cut it at a time when energy prices have been and are still rocketing is wrong. what a shameful and petty thing to do and it's likely more marches like this will occur.
Most and really full blame for the cut to pensioners WFA lies with the Lib Dem MPs who will be supporting it and allowing the cut to go ahead.
Bankers rake in bonuses, pensioners get a pittance cut, absolutely disgraceful and wrong as in fairness, decent or moral sense.

I consider myself far from right wing but I don't see the point in these protests. It is a march for 'the alternative' but nobody has actually said what the 'alternative' is. There was some shi-ted up article I was reading in The Guardian and even their suggetsions for 'an alternative' were laughable. I do think cuts are the only way for us to ever begin to cut back the growing debt we have, although maybe the cuts are to severe for now.
Also, does anyone else find Edd Millibands actions interetsing. I could never imagine Tony Blair speaking at an event like this - I can imagine today being reflected on in history as a key signal of Labour returning to the leftt.

Banks created the financial crisis.
Then the government gives billions of tax payers money to the banks as a "bail out".
Government should take all that money back and cancel all the debt they owe to any banks. All they do is impose a massive fine on the banks, amount of the fine = total debt.
Reason government do not do this is because the banks own the government and tell them what do do.
Money talks, power corrupts.
Also, does anyone else find Edd Millibands actions interetsing. I could never imagine Tony Blair speaking at an event like this - I can imagine today being reflected on in history as a key signal of Labour returning to the leftt.
I didnt hear what he said but I just think it's him being oppurtunistic again, trying to show that he's a man of the people and hoping they'll identify with him. He really hasnt impressed be at all tbh, an article in the Independent was saying how even at the budget, a day when all the petty party politics is usually forgotten and people just focus on the actual facts and figures, he just engaged in the usual rhetoric - "Norman Lamont with an iPod" "hurting but not working" etc. instead of actually launching a constructive attack. I really think Labour have the worse Miliband leading their party

And what do you then do when the banks pack up and leave? That would never work, the nationalised banks are starting to turn a profit again (with the exception of Northern Rock I believe) and soon they'll start denationalising and that should bring in a significant amount of money, no need to impose a "massive fine"

The police seem to always keep getting sucked into this all the time. Never seem to learn. The parade starts as one, then a batch break off at some point and go to some area to wreck.
The police SHOULD KNOW and should be following everyone who is on the march and when they see a large batch break off, FOLLOW them and have police on standby.

I think the Police should have segregated immediately all the people with masks or balaclavas on,however the Police are damned if they do and damned if they don't do certain things.
The Police had as much cause to actually join the march and protest anyway had they been able to, because this coalition Govt is hammering the Police forces, cutting them left, right and centre all over the Country.

I saw one of the protesters on news. He had a bloody face and must have been hit by something.
After a short rant he was claiming "peaceful protest, peaceful":joker:

The police seem to always keep getting sucked into this all the time. Never seem to learn. The parade starts as one, then a batch break off at some point and go to some area to wreck.
The police SHOULD KNOW and should be following everyone who is on the march and when they see a large batch break off, FOLLOW them and have police on standby.

Police Arresting one Criminal Punk.
I dont really understand what the Anarchists were protesting against, they cant be in favour of increased government spending and be all anti-cuts seeing as they dont even think a government should exist in the first place.

No, what they're saying is "If I'm not rich, then you can't be". That's the Politics of Envy - the typical mindset of left wing hypocrites. I guarantee if these scumbags suddenly came into money themselves, they wouldn't be giving it away to the needy, or be sharing it around altruistically:bored:

Yes Angus
and even the TUC leader had a go at them
saying they took his Air Time.
One girl was on the news being held
by Police but shouting "I have Done Nothing Wrong,
I only have a mask on"
Yes she did not want he parents to see her.
And Also the TUC before that day kept saying
a Million will march on this,
but it was infact well under half a million.

British naivety at it's finest.
In this country if someone doesnt like a decision by government they can demonstrate their displeasure by many many means, they can write to newspapers form lobby groups, peacefully demonstrate, or they could if they so wished stand as an independent MP/councillor at the next election, they could also gather with like minded individuals and form their own political party/lobby group.
In some countries they dont have those little luxuries. In some countries it is not permissible to demonstrate, when people do, they disappear.
Cant be too hard for you to understand surely?
