Most of the names on that list would put the final nail in the coffin of Big Brother if they got the job , Emma Willis or Amanda Byram are only presenters with enough talent to give the show the high ratings it needs

Would love to see Emma do it. She's passionate about Big Brother, she loves the show, obviously knows how BB works, she did BBLB too. I would love to see her present the show.

However, Brian is second on there, and he's amazing too, so I would be happy either way the cat jumped.

Big Brother only has two years to prove itself on CH5 there is no time for a presenter getting on the job training on Big Brother. We need a pro who has done a gig like this before . Amanda Byram has hosted at least 4 Major network reality tv shows in America . The new presenter most have good interviewing skills or they will fall flat on his or her face when they have to do a friday night eviction interview

Emma is drifting a bit.

While Brian Dowling and Jeff Brazier are shortening.

There needs to be changes in BB. Maybe Desmond feels there should be a change of host. Instead of a female presenting it. Try a male.

If it's going to be a male I think Paddy Mguiness could do a good job. If he is serious as well as funny.

The only thing holding Emma back is that she is a bit timid. Could she work a crowd? I reckon Desmond will try this out on the potential hosts!

Emma is still my favourite. I am just pointing out what could be the downfall. I am sure she does have a loud projective voice. She is professional, unbiased and a fan of the show.

Unfortunately I agree with I don't think he is going anywhere. However such a stale clapped out bore like Brian Dowling should be put out to graze for the sake of real talent that is out there.

He will destroy any chance of the CH5 version of BB continuing after the present contract.....He will also destroy the popularity bubble he is living at the moment.........Sooner the better......A shame that BB will go down with him.......

I fear Brian while he presents.. would be a bit egotistical. Make the show about him.

Emma.. could be too soft. Could she ask the housemates nitty and gritty questions? Suppose the producer or whoever will tell her what to ask anyway!

Now I am thinking.. A strong figure in the UK to do the job may be Paddy Mguiness << sorry can't spell his last name! I think he could be a good presenter and interviewer. Don't know if he's a fan of the show though.

Emma Willis is the best bet. Yeah she is a bit timid but she could grow into an alpha female presenter and interviewer.

A lot of wild assumptions. On what do you base these statements except your extreme dislike of the man?

Clearly the idea of Brian presenting the show has you completely rattled.

I favour Emma. She may be a bit timid but I think experience would change that......Emma loves the BB format like Davina does........That's the type of person they need. Brian Dowling just loves himself.

Also I do not think they should break the tradition of having a female presenter.....I know that's sexist but with a male presenter it just would not be BB in my eyes........A recipe is a recipe change it at ones peril

The problem with Brian presenting (and I really like him) is that he not only won BB2, but also Ultimate BB. This means that everyone that he interviewed on eviction nights would be faced with the "ultimate" reminder that they lost on BB.

Would love to see him doing BBLB though, or as co-presenter. Emma would be fantastic as presenter IMO, and a natural progression from last year.

The problem with having a presenter NOT already accepted by BB fans is the risk of a backlash where the new presenter is unfairly hated for "coming out of nowhere and taking over BB".

But we shall see - can't wait!!

I like the thought of Amanda but no Caroline, dam annoying :nono: As another poster said a female presenter will always be compared to Davina, but in time we will get use to her, in relation to the former and as BB is back & fresh maybe a guy should present!

Either way the presenter (and that includes the presenter/s of all spin offs, if any) should be a fan, intelligent, professional/competent, charismatic with a sense of humour, now who fits that?

An unknown would be welcome if they fit these categories, yes easy on the eye would be an addition but not a necessity :D

I think this means either:

a) the presenter has been chosen, in which case it would be too easy for

b) not enough punters were interested. The betting hardly moved for weeks so I think this is the most likely.

I just don't like her hypocritical attitude on that Sex Education Show.

I won't go into detail but it's something along the lines of:
"Let's cause havoc for the staff at Marks cause we don't want bras for growing girls because it "sexualises" them (WTF?)" and then proceeds to gather a bunch of under 18s and shows them pictures of granny fanny and embarrasses 13 yo boys asking if they've had a wet dream. Urgh...

Anyway, Emma Willis for the main show and Brian Dowling either as a "sub" presenter or on any spin offs they have.

The presenters list in uk is too damn limited. We see all the same presenters all over and over agin distributed throughout all the channels. Boring and annoying.

How about a completely new and unknown presenter for the new series to give it that fresh, new feeling. If they chose brian dowling for example we would associate him with other things he's done and it won't have that fresh feeling. At least not for me

Davina was already known before BB with her MTV career, drug addiction and fling with Eric Clapton.

I hope it is someone new that has nothing to do with the Channel 4 show. I want total separation from the old show.

I would love Caroline Flack if possible. She was excellent on the I'm a Celeb spin off show and apart her being able to read (McCall and Willis's massive fail) she is hugely intelligent and quick witted too as well as being easy on the eye.

Don't forget God's Gift too.
