Telephone within the house...

This is what I read:

The house will apparently now include a public telephone so contestants can speak to loved ones, while "regular champagne parties, games and tasks" will ensure the housemates are kept entertained and busy.

To the bit in bold - if this is the case, will their loved ones not give them outside information i.e. "ABC is hated" and "JKL is favourite to get evicted" etc? Are they getting rid of the rule of "no contact with the outside world"??

If they are then I think its a very bad idea. Thats the whole point of Big Brother. NO CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD!

I'm all for change, I definitely think BB needs a re vamp but I think the no contact with the outside world is one thing that shouldn't be tampered with tbh. I hated when they did it on C4

I'm guessing it's something that'll only get used occasionally and under harsh supervision. Perhaps instead of messages from home they'll get to talk to their families?

I was thinking about what they would talk about instead also but I guess we'll find out soon enough. Summer will fly in! :D

Big Brother does need a bit of a revamp, it has been the same thing year in year out for 10 series. Not that I am complaining as I absolutely love BB, but, I think it does need a revamp. The contact rule shouldn't be changed though...that's the point in Big Brother.

I loved it when they used to do phone calls from home, but I'd rather the public voted for one person to get a phonecall every fortnight or something.

Im not sure i like this idea to be honest, having said that, if this is instead of letters/messages from there families i suppose that alright, i just dont like the idea of them getting phone calls every other day.

you'd be suprised alot of celebs didint wanna do big brother because there was no phone to caontact pepole with a phone added to the house celebs will consider doing the show more
