Channel 5's first series of Big Brother will have a "playfulness and decadence" theme, claims a report.
The Richard Desmond-owned broadcaster signed a two-year-deal for the Endemol reality series yesterday, which means that the programme will return in August with an "all-star celebrity" format.
According to the Daily Express, which is also owned by Desmond, the Big Brother house will have a "dramatic" makeover following its move to C5.
The house will apparently now include a public telephone so contestants can speak to loved ones, while "regular champagne parties, games and tasks" will ensure the housemates are kept entertained and busy.
Myleene Klass and Emma Willis are the early frontrunners to replace Davina McCall as the host of the reality series.
Booooze :amazed:

They're going to have to come out with something very decent to top last years house.
Not keen on the telephone idea, its ZERO CONTACT with the outside for a reason.

And also is it a 2 Year Deal or 5 Year Deal they keep saying different?
I imagine the ratings will be reasonably good for Channel 5, I mean I bet the launch of BB12 or CBB8 will easily be Channel 5's most watched show in History.
So they'll probably renew it for 2014 anyway.

They need to keep the drink flowing, the rationing of it hindered the latter BB's.

2 years but I'm guessing there's an option for more if it does well.

Decadence = no morals = FUN!
I doubt that they have already decided a theme for the house, considering the deal was only signed yesterday.

No limits on alcohol...that totally ruined the previous ones. C4 was too scared of drunk HMs and ofcom :bored:
The telephone thing...well, the no contact with the outside world thing hasnt been upheld for the past few years anyways. I dont think it will make TOO much difference, as long as calls are rationed, not having one emotional HM on the phone 24/7

This.
Some laws will have to be put in place though, I mean what if their mum says something like 'Oh by the way honey, that dick head Michelle nominated you and Tom yesterday! Don't trust the bitch.'
Or 'Michael, you don't have to worry sweetheart you're the favourite to win :)'

Oh yeah, Im sure they will have some kind of rules in place about stuff like that, though how to enforce them...I dont know how.
Nothing "untoward" will happen - if it does, OFCOM will be informed ..... CBB5 destroyed C4 BB - C5 won't risk a £200m investment - it'll be just titillation and smutty talk .....
Sounds good :amazed: not that bothered about them having a telephone as long as it doesnt feature significantly on HL shows or anything
