What Will The BB12 House Be Like?

I mean what Budget do you think it's on?

BB10 had the lowest budget I think, well it looked that way anyways.
Where as BB11 was a different story altogether.

Do you honestly think the house will be like BB6-BB9ish or will it be really basic and dull like BB1/BB10?

Or do you think it'll be almost identical to BB11 just different colours and furniture?

Umm I'm not sure really. I'm hoping they'll stick with the open theme and go for a BB6/7 house (I know everyone says that :tongue:) but I would love a return to BB5's small, claustrophobic house and the whole evil BB in general.

Either way I think BB11's house raised my expectations drastically because that house was just amazing. I don't think we should expect too much out of C5's new house though tbh.

And I know what you mean about BB11's house. It was lovely but I think it was a bit too 'busy' if you know what a mean? Like too much detail with all that stuff all over the glass and all the wallpaper and shizzle.

I really want the house to be BB5-7 style. A weird and non almost symmetrical layout. BB8 onwards seemed to stick with a ****ty big hub which had the kitchen, seating area, diary room near the entrance, bedroom stemming off from somewhere etc...

The Star have said it will be very different, and the Express have suggested it will have a decadence (decaying / falling apart) feel/theme.

No, Big Brother is not an original commission but an acquisition format, the broadcaster pays Endemol for the rights to air it (as with a sporting event), not for them to make it for them (as with a new drama) and Endemol assign a percentage of that amount, of a size of their own choosing (whatever is left after they use it to pay off their mahoosive debts) to pay for the production of the show, the rest they spend on what they wish (executive bonuses, other programming etc).

During BB's 9 to 11, Endemol were spending just 5 mill of the 60 mill C4 were paying them, on the actual show.

Far from it, decadence could be simply referring to falling apart or decay as in the decaying of morals. It could also refer to the Decadent period in literature, which sought inspiration from the over refinement of style and luxury, producing works that were morbid neurotic or macabre.

Give us something new with the house and series. Because after 11 years, the shows already worn out a lot of avenues. They need to do something amazing to breathe some life into this monster.

Very Bright and Camp?

Exotic themed - Tiger, leopard, and zebra prints everywhere. A few furry or feathery or even reptilian rugs and features. Various shades of bright oranges and greens. Palm trees. Wood, stone and water features. A plunge pool. Garden flamingo. The alarms could sound like crickets, drums, roars etc. Have some tropical goldfish in a tank modelled after the house. Everythign is fun, active and vibrant.

Fear theme - Not exactly evil, but fear. Lots of reds and blacks. A few slanted/cracked walls and mirrors. The diary room could have padded walls and the chair could resemble a straight jacket. A creepy old shed. Bedroom could look like a rusty abandoned warehouse. Flickering lights and the occasional malfunction such as doors locking. Maybe the HMs could wake up to a smoke machine or for the clocks to stop working and the house to be covered in a dark cloth.

History theme - the lounge would be like the inside of a pyramid and very beige. A medieval themed dining room? Roman bathroom? Lots of statues, paintings, coats of arms etc. Mock jousting task.

Autumn/winter wonderland theme - The diary room would be very orange and brown and have leaf patterns. The living area could be in an igloo-like white dome. A few white, blue and pink fairy lights all over the place. Bedroom could be black/dark blue with a few bonfire night/firework prints. Forsted glass walls here and there. Maybe they could have a Xmas weekly task with Xmas trees, nutcrackers, ballerinas, elves, Santa and Mrs Clause.

Cyberpunk theme - Lots of silvers, greens, blues and blacks. Leather and PVC features. High tech/futuristic gadgets. A Matrix style enigma written on the walls of each room. Tunnels and air locks that lead in to different sections of the house. The return of TITAN! :eek:

No, it comes from the latin dēcadentia meaning falling away, as does the word decay (hence 'deca'), however someone who is said to be decadent is someone who is self-indulgent (i.e. enjoys their luxuries) as decadence is a term usually applied to a decline in personal and societal morals (which self-indulgence is viewed by many as).

From the context it was used in they appeared to be referring to moral decadence (i.e. that the house will be full of guilty pleasures) but it could mean the opposite since it's referring to the houses' interior design.

It not going to be like any of the other bb house here a pic of the new house but there still 2 more week work to be done yet

Actually re-reading that express article they were referring to the series as a whole (which will in fairness effect the house design) so it almost certainly was used to refer to a Daily Star-esque sleazy, budget playboy mansion if Desmond gets his way with that.

The duvets can all have Twister boards printed on them :D One wall could look like a giant Tetris grid. Diary room could look like it's made out of a tonne of giant Lego bricks. HMs have Save and replace tasks like Hangman or Battleships but on a grander scale. BB should allow drinking games with packs of playing cards. HMs can have a Cluedo themed task after an eviction where they acquire clues and evidence to suggest so and so nominated this person. Really up the game playing side of things :devil:

I know this one sounds really ****ty lol, but for a resurrection/birth theme the house could have giant cots or hospital beds for the HMs and a heart monitor. Perhaps a framed picture of Jesus and a Buddha statue to symbolise reincarnation. My thinking cap's not on tight enough to think of tasks though.
