- Six 30-minute episodes will make up the series.
- Pre-production October
- Shooting November to January [with a live audience!]
- Broadcast September 2012
- Scripts started soon, nothing written down yet, but ideas are plentiful.

Back To Earth was largely woeful but I'm willing to give anything a try. I'm delighted it's back.

The best way to think of BTE is sorta like a movie of Red Dwarf (since it got rid of most of the sitcom aspects) Series 8 (The last one before 10) was actually my favourite next to the original two.

I'm glad they're filming in front of a live audience again too, that was one of the things that made BTE fall flat...as well as the weird metafiction crap

not too bad. The first season isn't great, but it picks up near the end. Two through six are great, but anything after that is just average with a few good episodes here and there

I love Red Dwarf but Back to Earth was truly awful. Lets hope they actually have a good script this time and without the second rate Kochanski character ( I always thought Claire Grogan was miles better)
