Do you watch them? Or can you actually watch them? I'm a terrible film-watcher anyway but find subtitled films a total put off. I get too distracted at the best of times. Dubbed films aren't much better...

I prefer foreign films with subtitles a lot of the time, it gets me into the film more.

Yeah Y Tu Mama Tambien is one of my fave films and I can really get into that even with subtitles. Also love Ong Bak and City Of God

I watched a film in a different language with subtitles. It was ok, actually.

I've had Amelie upstairs on DVD for years now. Can't find a time to know I'll sit still enough :joker:

I have no problem with subtitles. English dubbing is the devil and totally destroys the aura of watching a foreign film.

Got The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and the two sequels last night on Blu Ray so I'll have to eat through them. Sweedish language. Bring it on, baby.

I love listening to foreign language films. Especially French ones. Gorgeous language.

Amelie is very easy to watch because it's ****ing superb. Anyone could enjoy it.

I see no difference.

On a related subject, I remember we went to see an English movie last year... think it might have been the new Harry Potter. Anyway, it had English subtitles - and this douchebag sat in front of us started kicking off and complaining that it was distracting him. I was with my brother & niece so was getting a bit pissed off because he was distracting everyone else: I didn't see any difference. Thankfully he stormed out before I slapped his face and his ass. :bored:

Turns out they were on because there were some deaf people in the audience.

I just watch the film and forget to read. Gets rather confusing

Might be one for Easter BH then. Or a replacement for the Royal Wedding.....

I have to admit I couldn't watch an English film with subs. I end up reading the subs even though I can understand the language. I can't help it.

Oh and then theres the fact I know some French and Spanish so spend most of those speaking films thinking "Ooooh I uderstood that.... and that...." instead of taking the bloody thing in

I would watch them but I wouldn't go out of my way to see a foreign film.

I've never watched a foreign film but, IIRC, a large part of Kill Bill had subtitles and that's, probably, in my top 10 favourite films.
