View Full Version : Do you moan or just get on with it?

One of my irks is people who moan if held up in airports due to bad weather, or held up on motorways due to it being unsafe (recent M1 fire closing the motorway). Would they seriously prefer their plane to try and fly, skid off the runway and crash? Or perhaps ice up while in the air and plummet to the ground? Maybe the motorway should collapse below them mid journey?
Much better huh?
I love a good old moan as much as the next person but FFS, some people need to see the bigger picture. Late for work? Late for Babados? Or death?
Hmmm............

Sometimes I moan. Sometimes I get on with it. Sometimes I have a little moan and then get on with it. It depends what it is really.

It's those who DEMAND a plane should take off in snowdrifts and blizzards for example. Dense fog where you can't even see your hands infront of you. Infuriates me. Would they actually rather quite possibly crash?

people who moan that the weather is terrible when it is raining annoys me, like be lucky that its raining, could be worse like tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis etc.

Oh yeah them people are stupid. Oh the late for work one.. I have only been late for work once and that was when I was on the 3am shift :( I don't start until 1:30 in the afternoon so should be no excuse for me being late for work! I set off in good time anyway.

It's the people who don't see the sense that something could be dangerous that pisses me off. Like the ash cloud. I feel like saying 'well fly the plane yourself then fecking numpty'
Anyway, moan over

Moan a lot but wouldn't moan about a plane not being able to take off because of bad weather because I respect the safety regulations. I moan if my plane's delayed though for any reason other than bad weather.

I moan constantly about my local bus company and don't feel in the least bit bad about it. The buses are 30 years old, filthy, always either late or cancelled and charge me £5.90 everyday just to travel 2 and a half miles to work and back and I just hate the indignity of parting with that kind of money for a bus service that barely works. Oh and they get unconditional subsidies from the taxpayer, lets not forget that.

Only time I get irritated and moan is when in a supermarket, when the person in front of you is finished but then they engage in conversations with who they are with and involve the checkout operatot in it.
Taking time to transfer their bags back into the trolley while talking,That really annoys me especially since they can see and therefore know others are waiting to be served, real ignorance.

If something like that pisses me off, I moan like crazy. But usually I direct it at the sky (bloody snow) rather than at the planes. I understand why they're delayed, but I still have a good old moan anyway.

Yeah a good moan is needed every now and again. Sometimes I can't help myself, I just let out the moan out of sheer frustration.

I moan but not about stupid stuff where it is better that I don't get what I want. Like the plane stuff
