As a history buff, my views on this have evolved over time. I think the world would probably be more stable if the Empire was still around today.
No, and how exactly would the world be more stable? If anything the opposite would be true, look at all the wars and conflict between competing nations that Colonialism caused

Well look at Zimbabwe, for example. Things today have got to be 10 times as worse as they ever were under colonialism.

But things were 100 times better before we invaded them in the first place.

Its no coincidence, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Sudan, Burma, Sierra Leone and Ireland are all ****ed up.

Look what we did to colonise Zimbabwe or "Rhodesia", slaughtered thousands of their own people, we left the place in a bit of a mess and it descended into civil war.

Alright, I'll give you that. Australia, New Zealand, Canada didn't turn out so bad, though.

Now that British rule ended people get slaughtered in their hundreds of thousands. The current guy who is running "Rhodesia" is so much worse than any evils (real or imagined) that occured during Britain's reign.

Not sure where you get that hundreds of thousands figure from, seems a big exaggeration. And I Dunno about your other claim, I wouldnt say Mugabe is worse than Cecil Rhodes, and tbh I think Britain does have to take some responsibility for the country being in the chaos it is now

I love when ILTRW starts posting in serious debates. It's like putting a small child behind the wheel of a fast car.

Totally agree, Countries now want to be free of any old kind of rule from other Nations, there would be far greater protests and flare ups of violence all over if Britain still had its'empire'.
No,for me it's a good thing it collapsed. It inevitably had to in reality.
