personally I think not. I know there are women with a very strong sex drive(insatiable even) but generally I think a mans sexual urges are far stronger and more urgent.

I think in general, a man will have a stronger sex drive but there is obviously exceptions to the rule.

I think its something to do with mens bits being outside their body and them getting a constant reminder of them :D

But yeah, in general I think blokes need sex more than women do. I could go years without it and not really care, while gav gets moody after a week or so

i think they are probably the same its just a bit more obvious when a guy is horny. because guys feel different when they are hard, women must feel the same all the time until something is stimulating them.

I think a mans sexual organs are more aggressive. Thats totally the wrong word but I mean its very obvious when theyre ready for action. And hard to ignore.

I also believe that men were originally designed to go around spreading their seeds as far and wide as possible. Especially the stronger more virile men. It all about procreating a strong healthy population. Now I know that sounds like a great excuse but thats how many species of animal operate and we're really not that different.

Nature certainly didnt intend man to be monogamous.

Yeah I think men have more of a sex drive tbh, think there was axtually some research today saying that men watch 2 hours of porn a week and woman only 15 minutes or something

because men are so honest about how much porn they watch?

99% of porn is aimed at men...gay, bi or straight. I think that speaks volumes about who is the more sex obsessed.

or they pretend to.

I think a woman should feel insulted if a man needs to watch porn whilst giving her one. Hardly flattering.

yep it was on at my sisters. :)

it was annoying when one was trying to imply that women do have the same sex drive. Like women always have to be equal to men in everything. Some things are just about nature and sex drive is one of them.

Get a grip, women (in general) may have less of a sex drive, that doesn't mean we're asexual!

No, and that's why gay men are generally promiscuous. Men dont have more sex because their partners are women. :''(

Im not saying they don't want sex. I just think they dont fixate and fantasize directly about the actual sex act but more about the all round nature of the relationship. Maybe more romanticized.

For example, regards porn, most men can get off just by watching any random sex as long as the participants are hot. Whereas I think women prefer a scenario with some kind of story that slowly builds up to the actual sex. I remember having this discussion with a group of my sisters mates once and they all said this.

I agree with your sisters mates to a point but I think both the build up and the act are important. I mean did they actually say that they only like the build up? I'm guessing not. And, you're crazy if you think we only think about the romantic side of things:joker:

I thought at first that men had the higher sex drive but maybe women cover up their thinking and needs more so I can take on board what Jedward fever said, because watching things like X factor etc with student friends the women always make sexual innuendoes as to the male acts on.
After jedward made his point,I recalled that fact and so think there's something in what he says.Good logic.

No but my point originally goes back to JF saying that TV shows with good looking guys are popular because women dream about sex with them. But I don't think its the sex they dream about but more the fantasy of maybe having a relationship with these hot guys. Whereas a man will view a hot woman on TV and instantly fantasize about her being naked....and the sex.

This is very simplistic but I do think women have a more romantic mind whereas men have a more porno mind.

:joker: I think some of the male fms are very young and innocent. Women think about sex quite a bit. I do think, however, that males have a higher sex drive; and that it's innate. But while I'd love a conversation over dinner with Liam Neeson, I'd much prefer to do something else with him.

Every person is different. Society has different rules for each gender anyway.

Only people who are female should be commenting on women's sexuality, because let's face it, men have no ****ing clue. lol.

If every time a women had sex, she was guerunteed to have an orgasm, then women would have the same sex drive as men, but since it seems men are still allowed to get away with having an orgasm every time, but women are expected to just accept not getting off, then it's no wonder they don';t enjoy sex as much.

IF when i had sex, i was just expected to lay there and get someone else off, i wouldn't be very excited about sex eigther.

If a woman just lays there, surely she won't be "getting off" and shouldn't be expecting an orgasm. And although men might orgasm every time they have sex, women are blessed with the multiple orgasm. I'd say we come out on top... so to speak.

Your reference is Josef Fritzel is abhorrent and telling people 'so be quiet' is unbelievably rude.

If you had any real sexual experience with women, you'd understand the reason for toys such as rabbits etc.... quick biology / sex education lesson for you - men can come far too quickly, long before the woman, they can sometimes not get erections, they sometimes cannot hold their erections. Once they have come they can't just stand to attention again, when the woman is still sexually aroused - the woman can still climax again and again, some men simply cannot satisfy a woman enough soley with penetrative sex , and many toys are used for clitoral stimulation which men often aren't able to perform effectively themselves. apart from all that, many men actually are turned on by watching women use toys.

I'd say the average sexually active man and woman tend to have the same sex drives. Women I think are able to suppress it more.
