Be it volunteer work, a sponsored run, a skydive, donating clothes etc. Have you or do you do anything for charity?

Are you bored? You're going to town with the questions.

Lol, the other questions were all asked last night as it was dead on here and nobody was talking about anything.

For a school project we all had to form groups of 2s and 3s and see who made the most money for charity. I was stuck with 2 people I didn't particularly like. We thought we'd go around and get kids to donate 30p or something to guess how many sweets were in a jar, whoever was nearest to it won the jar. The 2 in my group wanted to eat some of the sweets each day and I found myself doing most of the work. We raised £10 so I put an extra £20 in. Some little girl who was off by miles won it. Then we won 3 certificates in an assembly cos we did so well. I stared at the teachers, the students and the RSPCA woman blankly and just said "Thanks" and then sat down.

I never spoke of it again until just now.

I've been working in a charity for the last 3 months. 3 shifts a week, now all on the till.

This is for experience (which is valuable), though, not from the goodness of my heart.

Done a sponsored run and walk before, normally give a few quid when it's comic relief or something like that, I'd like to do more really but I'm too lazy

I think they've done events or whatever at school and like made you pay money for a non-uniform day which goes to charities, so I think so yeah. But I've never given it to them out of choice. :s

I did two fun runs when I was about 10/11... I tend to be quite generous with collection boxes... but that's about it

5k, 10k and 1/2 marathons as well as walks, doing car washes, was heavily involved in a UN project for years and in arranging all sorts of events locally to raise moneys for starving children and families.
