Haha! lol

Anyway I am on an early shift on Friday. I will be getting double pay but will still watch the wedding at work and when I get home.

No doubt it will be repeated a gazillion times!

Personally they should make a DVD of it. And the money from the DVD should go to charity!

But yes.. it will be a nice event. I am looking forward to what Victoria Beckham will be wearing too.

They do seem like such a lovely couple and I hope they last. On This Morning they was on about Kate and Wills and their starsigns and how compatible they are. A Capricorn with a Gemini << I think Wills is? These starsigns are not very compatible. But with their chinese horoscopes alone.. one of them is a Water Dog.. one of them is something else.. then they are 90% compatible! :)

They also said Wills is more easy going and Kate wears the trousers. I think if either of them had an affair it would most likely be Kate. Hopefully it won't happen and they have a couple of lovely children together. I think they will have a boy and a girl in the future.

If the girl is born first and they have a boy after. The girl should be queen before the boy is King. I agree there should be equal rights in terms of this King and Queen business.

Anyway I hope everyone enjoys tomorrow.

*Cheers*

the whole look is stunning I have to say. Not OTT, no overflowing crinkley dress, no real 'extravagant' (i know I know) look: but the whole thing - it's been wonderfully thought out.

She's elegant looking. It's the whole idea of a commoner marrying into royalty. We've come a long way since Wallis Simpson days - yet it was only a few generations ago.

Something terribly sad that Di isn't there - I found it a bit awkward watching Camilla as she entered with Charles, standing with the Queen and Prince Philip.

Well, it's definitely a more classic dress than Dianas was, it will age alot better.

I'm still not 100% on the difference between a commoner and not a commoner lol

My own understanding is that Royal families married into other Royal families to strengthen their allegiances ...... ie: British Royal Family marrying into another Royal family (eg: Swedish) would strengthen the allegiances between both set of Royals and toward countries. Was the old fashioned way of retaining 'power' - but it's not been enforced strictly for decades.

Diana - she was illegitimately linked to King charles II - - she was linked by blood to royalty down the line somewhere - something like that anyway - there was royal blood somewhere and subsequently, she was titled. Rembember she had a title: Lady Diana Spencer, her mother was a Baroness, and her brother (Earl Spencer) was formerly known as a Viscount.

I am sure that she was blood linked by both sets of grandparents/great grandparents - directly to Kings on both sides of her familty (grandparents I'm sure).

But Diana was definately from Royal stock. Yes it is inbreeding but it's way down the line to avoid the typical genetic throwback.

Can't recall now: there was a fairly 'recent' Prince - Queen Victoria maybe who was 'nuts'...... perhaps too closely interbred?

Hence the desire to breed within royalty and nobility outwith ones own 'family'. Bearing in mind: the Queen and Prince Philip are from different Royal families.

Have to agree. In the pics I've seen of her - she looks hard as nails, as well as looking a hell of a lot older than her years.

Kate's far nicer. Far softer looking and more feminine.

I am surprised this ever happened

A few years back the courtiers would have been telling Kate to sling her hook and then telling His Royal Highness that it was his duty as a member of the Royal Family to take a bride from either the British Aristocracy or better still a princess from one of the European Royal families, just like it has always been done.

Because of their position of privilege they are duty bound to follow certain protocols

Given the divorce rate within the Royal Family within recent years - Anne, Charles, Andrew - I'd say it was long before time that such 'arrangments' were halted. All of whom divorced through adultery or similar inappropriate behaviour (not nec them, but them or their partner). Whilst that was acceptable in days gone by, it's very much frowned upon now.

More then a few years to be fair. The Aristocracy these days counts for nothing and the Royal Family are a tourist trap and it's the same for the rest of the European Royal Families so why stick to protocals that have no relevance in today's world? Let them marry who they want.

When the news is filled day after day with disaster and war, how lovely it was to watch the wedding today and see the Brits do what the Brits do best. I loved the fact that a million people turned up to watch the wedding, there was no trouble, street parties were going on all over the country and everyone reclaimed the Union flag from the bloody BNP. I love it. It reminded me that, although there will always be people who bang on about how this country is a shambles, how bad the police are (in my experience they're bloody marvellous compared to the arrogant a-holes that mostly make up the NYPD) and generally focus on the negative stuff, it was good to have a a reason to remember why it's good to be British and to see so many people celebrating.

I wasn't going to watch it, but was glad I did. It had a nice feel to the day, and even the rain held off. The Wedding was nowhere near how I thought it would be, the young couple made it their special day with a lot of their preferences and touches making it so much more personal to them both :) but also catering for family, friends, and for the people who turned out to watch, they combined the two so well and everything just worked and had such a beautiful feel to it all. Sometimes a Country needs the street parties and the feelgood factor of such a celebration of a young in love royal couple, against all the usual doom, gloom, and misery in the World.

Sisters in Reebok trainers who got the best seats in the house

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1382149/Royal-Wedding-Ninja-nun-sat-inches-Prince-William.html

With two billion people around the world watching, it was two nuns who took pride of place next to the newly married bride and groom.

As William and Kate sang prayers from the specially designed hymn sheets, the two sisters looked on unassumingly.

But despite their demure appearance, rumours even began to surface today that one of the woman was a secret 'ninja nun' intended to protect the Royal couple by pouncing on any intruders. However, it is certain they were merely there for spiritual protection.

Dressed in their traditional habits, comprising of grey tunics, black coifs and two sets of white sleeves, the two nuns sat at the top of Westminster Abbey yesterday.

Both wore spectacles but one of the nuns was significantly taller and sat noticeably more upright than the other grey-haired lady.

Eagle-eyed viewers also noticed that she was wearing black Reebok Classics trainers underneath her traditional outfit.

There were also questions posed over why the two nuns took such a prominent position in the proceedings.

Yeah, I wondered why they were so prominent but did nothing ..... :conf:

Harry didn't disappoint :joker:

Prince Harry is said to have partied "like a rock star" at the royal wedding reception.

The evening, which took place in 'The Palace Club' at Buckingham Palace, began with Prince William and Kate Middleton's first dance to a live performance of 'Your Song' from Ellie Goulding.

Prince Charles and Camilla briefly joined them, before leaving to let the younger guests get the party started, according to the News of the World.

"Buckingham Palace has never seen anything like it. It was more like a nightclub than the Queen's house," a source said. "Harry was essentially the host of the evening. He was acting like a rock star and making sure all the girls had a cocktail in hand and all the lads were trying the Sambuca shots.

"He was also getting pretty merry himself. He loves a party and this night was obviously no different. He was even jumping off the stage and dancing on window ledges. At one point he ended up on the shoulders of one of his friends with his shirt unbuttoned."

The newlyweds were also hoisted on the shoulders of their friends for a singalong.

At around 2am, Harry took to the stage and said: "This has been a great night but please respect the family and those upstairs when you leave. And don't wake up the neighbours."

As many guests weren't ready to leave, Harry asked the DJ to play one more song and dedicated Kings of Leon's 'Sex On Fire' to William.

Harry also laid on two vans outside the Palace - one serving bacon sandwiches, the other serving ice cream. Popcorn machines were also dotted around the venue.

Real life fairytale!

Where are all the williams, minus the billions and palace? I want one :(

But with better hair follicles, lol.

My sister and I had a laugh at her wave on her first ride. It wasn't very royal/rehearsed wave. we liked it, but on the second ride her unique wave had disappeared lol

The pervert in me wants a spy on their honeymoon. You can't feed us all this romantic shizzle and stop right thurr

I liked her and Williams' waves, just normal.
No fancy stuck up their arse Queen antics.

I never got a chance to discuss it here as was at a "wedding party" all day!

I thought the wedding was beautiful, Kate was stunning, William looked handsome and chuffed and coy and Harry looked as hot as usual!

Generally just a lovely day!

I was at the service, it was so touching. Everyone kept saying my dress was to yellow though?
