View Full Version : Genetics and Male-Pattern Baldness

This is not something I know a lot about (as fortunately it does not effect me!). Someone will explain it I'm sure!

I notice Prince William (who I can clearly see features from Chas n Di in) is going to be as bald as his dad was by his equivalent late 30s.

It strikes me that Harry has a luxuriant red-top of hair (much like James Hewitt). Is it becoming increasingly obvious who fathered that lad? Or is it possible that the male pattern baldness/colouring misses the odd offspring?

GET CHAS AND H ON THE JEREMY KYLE SHOW FOR A DNA TEST I SAY :joker::joker::joker:

I've said the very same thing for years Claymores: he was starting to get thin on top years ago...... the difference between him and Harry is astounding - as is the similarity that Harry has with Hewitt.

Philip, Charles, even Andrew, Edward .....all thinning and balding young:- and there's Harry - like a black sheep.......

mmmmm. ;)

LOL Pyr - maybe the Royal Family will get the Child Support Agency make Mr Hewitt to pay for his helicopter training!

Im sorry but it's obvious charles isn't his father. I mean him and William look so alike and Harry doesn't at all. But he wont ever do a DNA test it will just make things harder for him and the family.

So why does the country have to pay for Harry to be on the Royal List? James Hewett should be paying for his son

At this stage of the game (and even years back) it would have been too damaging - I recall all the 'diary dates' of when Diana was seeing Hewitt (ie; the 'official' version) which showed that Harry HAD to be Charles'.

You only have to look at all the males from Philip - even to Peter Phillips (Princess Anne's son) - they all have the same genes. Harry and some of Di's but nada of the Royal male family genes.

I actually feel dead sorry for Harry - he will know himself as will every other family member. No one is blind - and that must be a hell of a thing to live with - through no fault of his own.

I don't buy into the rumour about Charles not been Harry's real father. Harry looks more like him than William does.

Harry is only 25, Charles didn't bald as earlier has William has.

I think people should at least wait for Harry to age more before jumping to a conclusion.

There are zillions of images out there - and some comparing very young Harry to the same age as when Hewitt was the same age as a child....and they are spitting images.

Well, one of brothers start going bald when he was around 26, I have another brother who's 30 and he's showing no signs so far of going bald, so I don't think that all men from the same family either have to go bald or not (unless my mother is hiding something:joker: but they're both the image of my dad!)

I think that's the main problem - Harry looks nothing like charles. doesn't have his smile, his teeth, his nose, his chin - and out of all the males in the royal family: he's the only one with ginger hair - not even strawberry blonde - but thick red hair. I personally don't think he is Charles' - he could be but far as the world and the family are concerned, he is - and that's really all that matters to them and him. (though it's a hell of a coincedence that he shares such similar looks to the man that Diana was seeing whilst married to charles).

To be honest harry is quite lucky, he clearly has the better genes. but i do think charles is certainly not his father, however even if it is proven i bet harry will always consider charles his father as they grew up with him. its too much of a controversy for the royal family to admittedly involve themselves in.

You're right, he does look a lot more like James Hewitt and nothing like Charles, I wonder if Will had been a girl would the Royal family brush it under the carpet so easily?

Thing is: if you look for piccies of Earl Spencer, hair colour on him changes: from brown, to dark brown to light brown, to blonde, to red - dependingon the light.

In Harry and in Hewitt's case - it's red.

You do also have to look at (as the always very fair and balanced Niamhxo does) all sides and looking at Diana's side of the family, there is a redness of hair there,I have 3 much older Brothers, 2 of whom are very much like My Dad and his side of the Family while I and my other Brother are very like our Mum.

I believe Harry is Charle's and baldness can start from mid 20s, but sometimes it can be around the 30s mark when it begins to show.

Yesterday at the wedding, I don't know if it was the lights or what but Harry did seem to have a slightly thinning if not going bald area.

No, I think both are Charles Sons but I can see why there has been speculation.I don't believe if the case was otherwise, that Harry wasn't Charles's, that Diana would have let one of her Sons possibly face that humiliation in years to come, she loved her Boys and clearly so too does Charles.

There is also one other piece of evidence that undermines Harry being Hewitts son and thats the fact that Harry was born in 1984, Hewitt didnt meet Diana as riding instructor for her son(s) until 1986, his service history shows he was based in Germany and was not attached to the Royal Household until mid 1986.

Indeed in most cases the male pattern baldness is genetic, which is also known as androgenetic alopecia. Like if your father or grandfather had the problem then you can also be susceptible to the same pattern of hair loss.

If you have to build a new hair on mane the best and by far the most effective treatment for this genetic problem is hair transplant. If you still not satisfied with this fact you can read some good professional articles for hair concerns at Forhair.com they would definitely resolve all your queries.
