What do we all want for a BB12 launch twist? :D

(also on an unrelated note, will there be a separate forum for CBB8, or will it be in this one :conf: )

Seperate Id say, and Im not too sure, either a massive twist or none this series, nothing stupid which gets it off to a bad start.

To be quite honest I don't want one but I'm sure there will be due to the fact there has been since 2001/2 (can't remember which one)

I hope it's something interesting though.

More HMs than they cater for and a 2 door entry to the BB house- the real one will get them in there, the other one is the Exit to the taxi home. Just keep announcing them till we get the number C5 want in there that manage to get the doors right.

Re- CBB not bothered, just bring it on.

Don't want any twist that invloves a HM being evicted without having a fair chance with regard to nominations and public votes.

I wouldn't like anything being left to chance at the beginning regarding evictions or who goes in the house - I think the twist should be a secret mission or something, like one housemate has to pretend to be this character that big brother makes up, not revealing their true identity, etc. Things similar to that have been done before but you get the picture as to the nature of twist I mean :)

The housemates go in, down the stairs, but the door to the inside of the house is locked.
They have to find the key, but there is a fake key in the dairy room.

I liked it when they didn't when one/a few housemates didn't recieve their suitcases. However, this has already been done so I'm not sure whether it's good to use a C4 twist...

if they are going to do one they need to make it decent. None of the tacky ones, although C4 did do some good ones, i.e the unlucky housemate. They have done some poor ones.

Gender divide from the moment they enter, or perhaps Day 2 - make it a social experiment again. Neither male or female group is better off than the other aka rich/poor divide. It's just simply how will they react with a plastic wall seperating men from women? Only time they can share a room before the divide ends is in a reward room similar to BB4

Lucky number 7 - BB calls 1 HM to the DR, whoever enters is simply told to rejoin the group, 2nd person called also to rejoin the group, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th all the same but the lucky 7th person is told they are immune from the first eviction and whichever 2 HMs they nominate will automatically face eviction with whoever the rest of the house decide. They will be pampered for the entire first week before automatically facing eviction themself in week 2

House in lockdown - HMs are told they have 5 minutes to grab any clothes or toiletries and make their way to the garden. Once they are in the garden the shutters will close and the HMs have to live in the garden for the first few days with only the DR and 1 or 2 toilets as rooms. They must sleep in hammocks and use an outdoor shower. The garden would be huge and interesting so not to bore the viewers. Maybe have a few sculptures, the pool, several plants, water feature, exotic pet (chameleon?), a few fish, return of the chickens, a den/nest/loft/snug, outdoor seating area, a picnic table, a Tree of Temptation/Bob Righter/Davina McCaw similar item

Return of the live tasks - but bigger and better with the prize money at stake! - Now on launch night and eviction nights rather than Saturdays so it'll draw in more viewers and already have a crowd round the house.

Powercut - sveral hours after the HMs enter, during the middle of a big party BB should stage a powercut and only use the cameras from the camera runs to imply the ones fixed in the house are also not responsive. After several minutes (and in the event of anoyone panicking) some of the production team will escort HMs to the task room, supply them with torches and the food from the party and install few nightlights to a toilet for HMs to access. This would be the only time anyone other than HMs enter the house. Think of the BB4 bomb scare/BB5 fight night - social experiemtn side of things again

Oh, and first HM to go to bed is a rotten egg! - BB encourages the HMs to stay awake until after 4am. Any HMs that attempt to sleep before the designated time has rotten eggs thrown at them from shoots in the ceiling!

Britain's Player, this is how it will work.

10 days before the launch night give the public a selection of 10 to 15 contestants for the public to vote into the house to join the rest of the cast on launch night. The person with the most votes wins, however since that person was chosen by Britain to be in the house, he or she must obey the instructions of the British public and become Britain's Player.

On the BB website each 3 or 4 days a new instruction for Britain's Player will be available to the public, with a list of different options for the public to choose, this may be things like 'Who housemate should BP start an argument with', 'what catchphrase should BP start in the house' and most importantly 'which two people should BP nominate for eviction'. For every action BP does sucessfully he earns £1,000.

^I agree. It worked very well in the US version with 'American Player'.

The US Big Brother is a very different show though.

I hate when people say BBUK should be like BBUS but I like that idea. BB UK also copies some ideas from other countries e.g. the rich/poor divide was done in the Netherlands first, BB Aus 3 did the 2 seperate houses first I think, and we copied the Head of House thing once in BB4 and then again for BB9

I don't want any MAJOR launch night twists. Maybe housemate #13 called to the diary room called and told to get the most nominations...oh wait that's so 6 years ago! haha
