Since we always end up evicting a female first, anyone reckon this'll be the year we oust a male housemate as the first one?

I'd say it's 50-50.

Well it depends on the type of housemates their are in the house, also we dont know if there will be new rules in nominations, but the public will still vote and most of the time a girl goes. Unless all guys get nominated then it will be more likely a girl to go!

It depends on how the dynamic of the house is and wether the dynamic actually changes distinctively for the new channel 5 show or just because of the housemates in there.

It will depend on who is in the house but I was surprised that only a female housemate had been evicted first in all series.I had overlooked that.

Yeah I think they might enthusis (sp) the fact a male HM has never been evicted first in the UK, probing the public to do just that (a woman will never win... Kate, a black person will never win... Brian, I seem to remember them being stated during their series and the outcome went against just that, the public like to prove wrong )

It depends on the HM's, I think.

Nope, I think it'll be a female.

If there's a male in the house as repugnant and disgusting as Sezer, and he's up for eviction in the first week, I think we could have a male evicted first.

same. The majority have been evicted for being annoying (Shabnam, Penny), horrible (Mary, Vanessa BB5, Lynne) or boring (Beinazir, Bonnie, Anouska)... I think there have been a couple unfairly evicted (for being pretty for example, like Stephanie and Rachael)

Yeah, Rachael and Stephanie definately didn't deserve to go!

If Save & Replace didn't exist in BB11 I think a male would've gone first.

I think Dave would've gone. In week 1 he wasn't that popular, surely.
But then people always vote out the interesting ones so you could be right when you say Shabby would've gone.

On the odds, Shabby was destined to go, she was favourite to go even when Rachael went, so im pretty sure Shabby would of gone. Dave wouldn't of went. Shabby was not interesting either, she was a skank

More interesting than a fat man that walks around saying "Glory" and perving on the other guys, then being annoyed with Caiohme for walking around half-naked.

Dave was far more interesting than a walker that was so dull.
Shabby is such an idiot, she walked after surviving Eviciton so Sunshine had to leave (even tho she was so close to staying). So she is selfish, and knocked out an entertaining person.
Dave didn't come 2nd for no reason, I didn't even like him much but Dave > Shabby

Unlikely. Only 4 out of 21 series have seen men go first, only 3 of them were the public vote, and the first 3 of the 4 all happened before 2004.
CBB1 (2001) - Chris Eubank
CBB2 (2002) - Goldie
Teen BB (2003)- Hasan (no public vote, HMs decision)
UBB (2010) - John McCrirrick - although for a first the vote was only between 2 men
All 11 regular BBs, the last 5 CBBs and in Celeb Hijack it's always been a woman voted out first.

I would love a male to be evicted first!
But yes.. depends on the character. It seems an epic character is always evicted first...
Rachael from bb11, Sophia from bb10 (or Benazir on the red bus! haha), Stephanie from bb8, the amazing SHABNAM from bb8

If there'as an all-male house it might be possible.

It would never happen as Endemol are sexiest imo,and teenaged Girls prefer Guys to Girls.

aslong as two men are nominated, the girls should make a pact

I doubt it, but you never know.
I'd like to think no because the fact that 11 women in the main series have been evicted first is quite funny, spoil tradition?
Doogle

Well BB12 is going to take the series in another direction, so maybe the tradition will be broken to go with the show? ;) Though obviously that would be down to HMs and the public if that happened.

Dont know about a male going first, i guess it will depend on format, voting etc but i predict a male winner this year.We have had 3 females in a row if you include Josie.

Nah.
I'd like a Boy VS Girl Eviction in Week 1, that way it would literally be a 50/50 chance on whether or not the tradition would be broken.
Would be quite exciting actually, well only for us on here.
Most viewers can't even remember who won Big Brother 10 let alone the gender of the first evictee for the past 11 Years, but it would certainly be exciting for us LOL.

Failed in BB8 - Infact it just killed the series from the get go, it would fail on the 'Big Comeback' of Big Brother, why you even suggested that is quite funny - but alright.

It would be even funnier to isolate 1 man though, and have him as the only man out first.
If a man ever does go first in UK BB, imagine how terrible he'd feel (with the knowledge that he's the only man ever out first!)

What happened if a person with both male and female parts in first evicted?
Jarvio
19-05-2011, 03:24 PM
I don't understand why some people here think it's highly unlikely that a man will go first. Sure, 11/11 first evictees have been female.... BUT.... Many females have lasted in the BB house longer than many males. For example, some men have been the second evicted (Govan, Sezer, Seany), and some other male housemates have not lasted in there either (Billi, David BB8, Kenneth would have been evicted if he didn't walk). Surely it's possible to get a man out first? Tbh though, I would feel sorry for that man, seeing as he'd be the only man that's ever gone first in BB uk, imagine how isolated they'd feel...
