You know, like they show on the nature shows? To prove that unless provoked a bee/wasp wouldn't sting?
Me - no. Certainly not a wasp. Bee's are pretty docile and placid so theres a chance but Never a wasp.

Maybe a bee, because they dont sting unless you scare them
But wasp...hell no. They are horrible bastards who sting for the fun of it :bored:

I do from wasps. Not bees. I usually chase bee's with my camera :joker:
That said, I'm sure some bees are living under our shed  There were wasps in the wall cavity too but I'm hoping thats sorted now

A Bee yes, because they will only sting you if in danger,to get away.
A wasp no way though, they are extremely intolerant and bad tempered things.

You shouldnt, when you kill them they release a pheromone that attracts more wasps....

No, I haven't found out if I'm allergic to bee/wasp stings despite swallowing a wasp when I tried to take a bite out of a massive sandwich

Bumble bees are great. They literally do just bumble around :D
Honeybee's are often mistaken for wasps as they're much smaller
A bee yes.. but a wasp? No ****ing way! I used to not be bothered by them until I put my tights on one morning without realising there was a massive wasp in them! :bawling:

07-05-2011, 11:36 PM
yeah why not
they don't just randomly sting anything they land on. They have to feel threatened.

I'm afraid to say that you can develop allergies so even if you were stung once and are fine you may not be immune the next time :/

It deserved death.
I'd have happily removed it and set it free if it didn't act a bitch.
I know people are always like "Oh shh, bees don't sting unless they think they're in danger", but I still don't like them :p It's like moths - I don't care if they're harmless, I'm still scared of them
And wasps definitely no. They're horrible little things -_-

I felt that way about a spider last night. Caught it in a glass and went to flick it out the window. But the it jumped out just as I tilted the glass to flick!
It landed on the floor so I just stamped on it to stop it scurrying behind furniture. He had his chance for freedom.

Sounds like when I caught a spider in a glass to free it. Only it jumped in the glass so I lobbed the lot down the garden :joker:

Bees and wasps and butterflies can die. I hate them all.
A few days ago I got a wasp stuck on my jumper sleeve, its leg was stuck. And then to my friends I was like OMG HELP OMFG! and all they could do was laugh.

Bees are okay, that wouldn't be too bad. To be honest I don't mind bees, we kinda need them after all.
Wasps are just bastards and I always forget the difference and think wasps are bees and then when it comes near me I realise and run.

I worked as a groundskeeper in Colchester Zoo and in the summer there's an amazing amount of wasps in the bins, particularly around the fast food and ice cream stands. I had to empty about 200+ bin bags and the wasps never stung me. They were too worried about the hornets.

Funnily enough, it is much safer to do nothing if a wasp lands on you and wait for it to go away or at least use a piece of paper or card to shove them off so they don't know it is you. They react really badly to provocation, especially in late summer/early autumn.
