I haven't seen E.T. since 1994 or there abouts because the little space turd scared the sh!t out of me. That and I find Spielberg quite annoying, overrated and has an overbearing hard on for sci-fi.
I love the Scream movies and would recommend them. The first was amazing and fresh, the second is debateably better (or at least a brilliant follow-up), third was a let down but certainly the funniest of the 3, and tbh I thought Scream 4 was the most clever since the original. Without spoiling it, it's a very clever and cynical stab at remakes and your expectations of them.
The Godfather and The Godfather Part II are classics but very different to each other. One spans about 20/30 years IIRC and the other is mostly set in one year but has lots of flashbacks. The Godfather Part III wasn't so bad, it just wasn't as good but that's partly because it wasn't based on a novel liek the first 2. And yes, Sophia Coppola's acting was sh!te

Have you seen Girl, Interrupted (1996)? It's basically the same but with guys. Pretty bleak but good acting.
I've not seen any of the Star Wars films either
Overrated garbage! And George Lucas keeps churning more films/DVDS/series/games/novels out for more cash. I was mortified when I learnt Jedi is now a practising religion

Avatar.
Just watch Disney's Pocahontas and pretend the 'Indians'/Native Americans are blue cat people and that it's in HD 3-D or whatever. It's only good for the special effects, the story did not need to be stretched over 3 hours

I was on the fence about seeing Avatar when it came out, but I'm glad I see it, especially in cinema's. The 3D was outstanding, and I'm not a fan of 3D films.

Toy Story 3 is just Jizz, I swear the ending almost made me cry and I never cry at Movies.
Scream 4 - well we all know how Sexy that is by now, right?
Actually it's a good thing you Downloaded Inception, everyone says you need to rewatch it again like 2 or 3 times to understand it - so you can do that, where as alot of people had to pay to go see it again LOL.

Anyone that hasn't seen The Godfather needs to get a day off from whatever they usually do, rent the three of them, and sit in front of the TV and watch them all day

Erm, it wasn't my cup of tea. You had to really pay attention to the dialogue because it was a bit of a slow film and at 3-4 hours long. I was just too distracted with pancakes as it was Shrove Tuesday I tried to watch it lol.
Don't think I'll be watching it by free will any time soon.
