Big Brother is back in its new home next door on Channel 5. Emma Willis is the presenter of the brand-spanking new show with Brian Dowling and Nikki Grahame taking control of all things BBXtra [[the new Big Brother’s Little Brother]]. Big Mouth also returns with comedian Jack Whitehall here to present and grill all of the evictees after the main show.
The show is still the same old show loved on Channel 4 but there’s many new features including an extended LIVE nominations Sunday show and Wednesday extended show too. As well as that ‘Vote to Evict’ has gone and it’s all vote to save. The prize fund is a massive £500,000!
The graphics package this year is all about ‘Old and New’, signifying a new channel but the same old Big Brother. The eye can be seen above and below is the eye with its background as it’ll be seen at the end of the titles sequence. Also making a return is the 24 hour LIVE feed available for red-button users, this year it also comes with a room selection!

There will be many twists in the series and the house has been completely refurbished for the brand new season. The same old favourite rooms return such as the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, the garden, the all important task room and of course the diary room.
There is many brilliant tasks and housemates to come and this series is promised to be one hell of a ride. Viewers hold on to your hats, Big Brother is back.

Here’s the eviction studio, it gives you an idea of some of the designs that are in the house...
http://oi52.tinypic.com/wioe9i.jpg
Now time for the BBXtra studio- the new BBLB it’s a small studio with room for a small audience that will give their views on the housemates.
http://oi52.tinypic.com/28ksm4p.jpg
There’s a large turquoise sofa for Brian and Nikki to interview evicted housemates/ friends and family or celebrity guests...
http://oi55.tinypic.com/vuxqs.jpg
And in the middle there’s a large news desk for all the latest news to be delievered...
http://oi56.tinypic.com/dbjpyv.jpg
Notice the whole BBXtra studio is extremely small, this is because the show is only an Xtra and not as important as the main show.
Now let’s take a look inside the BBBM studio, it’s the same basic design as on E4 but very unique...

Next time- The rules and the house plan!

Joe.
10-05-2011, 07:49 PM
The same old rules apply in the Big Brother house although there are a few big changes. Firstly all walkers can and will be immediately replaced in the house, secondly housemates will all be on a three strike warning and then removed from the house. Finally- any discussion of nominations will result in the housemate being up for the public vote that week.
Big Brother returns on Tuesday 9th August with an extended Launch show from 9:00-10:40 followed by Big Mouth on C5. Here’s the weekly schedule for the new improved Big Brother...

Saturday- 10:00-11:05- After last night’s eviction the housemates compete in a mini-task,
Sunday- 9:00-10:30- The Sunday show is extended as the housemates reveal their nominations, LIVE and against the clock.
Monday-10:00-11:05- The Shopping Task begins.
Tuesday- 10:00-11:05- More from the second day of the shopping task.
Wednesday- 9:30-11:05- The Wednesday show is extended, allowing space for twists, but mostly for the results of the shopping task.
Thursday- 10:00-11:05- Thursday is a free day for the housemates to reflect before tomorrow’s oncoming eviction.
Friday- 9:00-10:00/10:25-11:05- Friday of course means an eviction, catch all of Thursdays highlights in the first show then watch one housemate being booted out with the lowest vote to save in the second show. The show is separated by 5-news at 10. The eviction show is followed by Big Mouth on Channel 5.

After the last Big Brother series on Channel 4 the production team that would be taking over on Channel 5 decided to completely knock down the house. Now a brand new house has been created and it’s one of the sexiest yet. Take a look at the brand new house plan...

Tomorrow- The House Entrance & The Stairway in...!

Joe.
11-05-2011, 06:39 AM
So now you know the basics it’s time to reveal the plans. Firstly let’s take a look at the brand new entrance to the Big Brother house...

http://oi51.tinypic.com/zogb52.jpg

Firstly you can see the three massive TV’s that on eviction night will broadcast everything happening in the house, they’ll also have the voting numbers on during evictions. Secondly we can see the platform that has been specially designed as a presenting deck for Emma Willis to use, you can see a circular pod besides the presenting deck. This is where the housemates will come out of before speaking to Emma and then entering the all important house. The cylinder has steps underneath so the housemates can enter it. It also leads to the studio.

http://oi53.tinypic.com/e03aqu.jpg

The Big Brother eye is in a 3D design on the back wall with a posh carpeted surface covering the house which has cost a ton of money. Although doesn’t it look fantastic! The booth lights up green when a housemate is about to come out of it and goes red when there’s nobody inside it. Emma will present mainly from the presenting deck but can go up the stairs and present around. Along from the presenter booth is the small walkway along the press-pit towards the main stairs.

http://oi53.tinypic.com/e1t80.jpg

Once the housemate reaches the top of the stairs they face a final few metres before entering the main house through the doors!

Tonight... The Stairs into the House...

Not keen on the outside of the house :/ I don't like it. Love everything else though

Joe.
11-05-2011, 03:49 PM
The housemates have just met the crowd to either boo’s or cheers and have been snapped for the press but now they must enter the house...

Here is a picture of the door the housemates will enter through. You can see a few 3D circles on the wall in the color of blue...

http://oi52.tinypic.com/hv2ama.jpg

The housemates face a short walk down a stone staircase. The walls are covered in a few pictures of hills with the sky behind. The circles sticking out make the entrance seem even smaller...

http://oi51.tinypic.com/16a2vwn.jpg

The housemates first glimpse into the Big Brother house where they’ll be staying...

http://oi53.tinypic.com/14wao9f.jpg

This what the housemates will see from the living room of the staircase...

So you’ve seen the entrance and the stairway into the house. Now it’s time for the first room- the living room!

This picture is zoomed out a bit from out last one revealing the floor, the plasma TV and the diary room door...

http://oi52.tinypic.com/21ozy3b.jpg

This picture shows where the task room is in relevance to the house this year...

http://oi55.tinypic.com/sd2yrp.jpg

Our first glimpse of the stunning new seating area from a camera above the entry door to the living area...

http://oi55.tinypic.com/eq36le.jpg

The seating area in all its glory. This year it’s all joined together and can be taken apart although Big Brother won’t be doing this. In the center is a coffee table. Underneath is the same old fashioned wallpaper as a carpet but in blue....

http://oi52.tinypic.com/2retefa.jpg

Here’s what the housemates can see of the living room if they sit in the far corner...

http://oi51.tinypic.com/2d29jx4.jpg

This wall is known as ‘the left eye’, the eye motif for all Big Brother seasons is ‘the right eye’ but on this wallpaper the eye is the left eye, confusing hey for the housemates!

http://oi52.tinypic.com/aesj9l.jpg

Your first teaser of the garden! What can you see!? The doors to the garden are glass and open outwards...

http://oi53.tinypic.com/2q9igqq.jpg

The corner of the living room holds an orange phone, what will this be used for!?

http://oi55.tinypic.com/sphf6q.jpg

So there's the living room, I must admit I think it's the best living room I've created and I'm very proud of it.

Next Time- The Garden!

P.S- I wanted to show you the website design before but it has a house picture on it's design, now you've seen the picture [[Living Room Seating area]] I can show it you...bear in mind it took like 10 minutes!

Outside the living room is the most beautiful garden yet...

Here’s a view of the living room from the garden. You can see the decking here.

http://oi54.tinypic.com/2hme9m0.jpg

To the left is a small potted plant walkway and seating area that leads to the kitchen door.

http://oi54.tinypic.com/f9j6r.jpg

The monument in the corner can be used by housemates when it’s raining if they need a bit of fresh air.

http://oi56.tinypic.com/ve56c4.jpg

There’s three brightly coloured sun-beds for when it gets hot!

http://oi54.tinypic.com/voxstc.jpg

The bedroom door is covered in blood! You can also see the pool besides it! But where’s the smoker’s bench I wonder...

http://oi51.tinypic.com/2isffps.jpg

Mwahahahaha! The smoker’s bench is across the pool! What if fags are dropped in their, or noisy swimmers wet the smokers! Uh-oh, trouble ahead!?

http://oi52.tinypic.com/vh9lxv.jpg

A view of the bridge that’s nailed to the floor and sturdier than you think. There will certainly be mischief to do with this bridge, what if a smoker falls in!?

http://oi55.tinypic.com/165lis.jpg

A closer up view of the Smoker’s Bench with the fag ends draw. The seat is very uncomfy and is very hard, smoker’s won’t be having a nice time sat here!

http://oi55.tinypic.com/33m2wxv.jpg

An aerial shot of the garden, ignore the blue bits they’ll be camera runs ect.

I thought it was the right size, what else would be in there? More grass area? Bare in-mind there's hidden house areas to be revealed later in the series!

Colours? What's bad about them?

Don't like it.

Hey Joe,

Im loving all of your work so far apart from the outside bit, it's slighty over the top but never the less you have done a good job so far and I cannot wait to see more :)

Joe.
18-05-2011, 03:21 PM
Now, I wonder what this year’s kitchen looks like, as beautiful as the garden and living room. Think not.

The door to the kitchen is of course in the garden, a picture of space is on the door. This could relate to a later task...

http://oi53.tinypic.com/f4mnol.jpg

Here’s your first view of the kitchen and my it looks squashed!

http://oi54.tinypic.com/1zpnmus.jpg

No there isn’t a dining room to fit all housemates instead this rather crampt one for six. Where will the others sit!? Surely there'll be more revealed later in the series...!?

http://oi53.tinypic.com/110dvls.jpg

The kitchen has been specifically designed to make the housemates feel cramp and uncomfortable, there’s also a small coffee table with two chairs, a fridge, bin and the store cupboard as you can see here.

http://oi51.tinypic.com/241nptk.jpg

Here’s a view of the work surface, with a massive wash basin, but where is the cooker and the dishwasher! All plates must be hand-washed and as for the cooker, it’s inside the drawers!

http://oi54.tinypic.com/2mhejx1.jpg

A final view of the tiny kitchen from above, I don’t know about you but that carpet’s starting to give me a headache!

http://oi53.tinypic.com/uvaj8.jpg

So you've seen the kitchen...what do you think? It's obviously too small but you'll be seeing the series plan and just you wait and see some suprises!

TOMORROW>>The Bedroom

Just looked at the other pictures; love the garden and the outside of the house. The smoking area is a really clever idea, as is the pod on the entrance.

Ahh okay, but it is untended to be uncomfortable :)

Just looked at the other pictures; love the garden and the outside of the house. The smoking area is a really clever idea, as is the pod on the entrance.

Thanks yeah I thought the Pod was a good idea to speed the launch up a bit. I suppose this is a very daring house project because there's a lot of differences to the house and when you see the day-by-day guide it is very exciting.

Bedroom teasers-

- 14 beds
- All the reds are rock hard and red
- The walls are colorful
- The bathroom is accessible via a door in the bedroom.
- There is no pillows, there is a part of the bed that can be raised for a pillow,

Joe.
19-05-2011, 03:45 PM
Now time for the bedroom, let’s hope it’s nice and...Comfy...*evil grin*

The bedroom door certainly looks threatening; it’s covered in dripping blood!

http://oi53.tinypic.com/34ybbqh.jpg

Here’s the entrance to the bedroom. Now for some pictures then I’ll explain...

http://oi54.tinypic.com/21e419z.jpg
http://oi54.tinypic.com/2443zbo.jpg
http://oi52.tinypic.com/aaulbl.jpg
http://oi52.tinypic.com/2573o28.jpg
http://oi52.tinypic.com/14smeya.jpg

On launch the bedroom sleeps 14 as 14 housemates are entering although there is room for a fifteenth bed [Believe me there is!] The beds are made from blocks of plastic that are extremely uncomfortable. The housemates will be supplied with a basic duvet. The pillow is the block that’s stood up a bit, that can be pushed down but is suggested as a head rest for the housemates. Yes this is going to be extremely uncomfortable. And where do all their clothes go, they’ll have to find room in their somewhere! In the last picture you can see the bathroom door, and that’s what will be revealed next!

Feedback much appreciated!

NEXT TIME----THE BATHROOM!!

The bathroom is a place of sanctity and relaxation...

http://oi51.tinypic.com/sfjiua.jpg

A cooling blue is what meets the housemates...

http://oi56.tinypic.com/2r4r5er.jpg

There’s a table and a mirror, the table holds a tiny hairdryer and some tiny hair-straighteners, housemates will have to get down on their hands and knees to use these as the cords are tiny too!

http://oi51.tinypic.com/2kpuoo.jpg

That carpet’s back! It company’s a tiny sink that will only reach the housemates knees so again they’ll have to bend down to use it!

http://oi55.tinypic.com/2yy6w6v.jpg

Hang on; there are 12 towels, for 14 housemates! There’s also a nice little toilet...

http://oi55.tinypic.com/6rtuty.jpg

Housemates have the best bathroom yet. This has cost a lot of money but will defiantly be worth it...

http://oi54.tinypic.com/207qnuc.jpg

It’s a bath and a shower. The bath will reach up to the housemate’s waists and has Jacuzzi features inside that react to their movement. They can also have the shower pouring down on them. This is the best bath/shower ever! What mischief can housemates get up to in here!?

http://oi51.tinypic.com/2cmug4o.jpg

Finally this is the view from inside the bath/shower!

http://oi53.tinypic.com/34fl4k1.jpg

LATER TONIGHT- THE DIARY ROOM & WEEK 1 PLAN!!

Joe.
20-05-2011, 04:48 PM
So now it’s time to look inside the most famous room of all, the diary room. Now outside we can see the door that has grass on it, but what’s inside?

http://oi53.tinypic.com/idhb81.jpg

Here’s the inside door, we can sort of see a bit of the design of the diary room here, More Grass!

http://oi55.tinypic.com/2mh6b7c.jpg

And here it is! The Diary room chair is very patriotic this year celebrating all things British! The flags are removable and will be replaced with items that co-inside with tasks.
http://oi55.tinypic.com/2znzn8l.jpg

Here’s the chair from an above camera in-case the housemates cover the first one!
http://oi55.tinypic.com/2yywio2.jpg
Now, let’s take a look at the plans...

Day One- Launch- Tuesday 9th August 2011- Emma Willis presents as the first housemate enters the house. They are called to the diary room and told that one of the other thirteen housemates entering the house is a fake and a ‘Secret Millionaire’. It’s their job to discover who the ‘Secret Millionaire’ is or they’ll be evicted on Friday! Then the other thirteen housemates enter the house. Emma then reveals that in shopping centres across the nation ‘BBPod’s’ will open for a limited time for the public. They can record 30 second audition VT’s. On the closing credits the dates and shopping centres are revealed. She says they’ll close sometime later in the show where two of the best across the nation will enter the house; they’ll be whittled down by the public, the producers and the housemates!

Day Two- Wednesday 10th August 2011- The housemate must pick one housemate to assist him/her. Let’s hope they don’t pick the Millionaire as their accomplice!

Day Three- Thursday 11th August 2011- The housemate must interrogate all 13 housemates including his/her accomplice in the task room which has been made into a police interrogation room. He /She must gather evidence ahead of their decision tomorrow! Below is the interrogation room...
http://oi55.tinypic.com/scc07d.jpg
http://oi52.tinypic.com/ou4503.jpg

Day Four-The decision- Friday 12th August 2011- The first housemate must reveal LIVE on Channel 5 who he /she thinks the Secret Millionaire is. If he/she gets it right then they’ll stay in the house, if they get it wrong then they’ll automatically be evicted and replaced by a new housemate. The secret millionaire will also leave. Emma then reveals the addition of two more brand new housemates taking the total to 15.

Tomorrow- Week 2 and 3!!
Bear in mind that the dates are just for example :)

Day Seven- Monday 15th August 2011- The first shopping task gets underway for the 15 housemates. The first task is ‘The TV Task’...

- A stage area has been set up in the garden with audience seats.

http://oi56.tinypic.com/16gbrdu.jpg

-11 housemates will become actors, 3 will become writers and 1 will become a Director.

-The 11 actors are split into 2 groups of 4 and 1 group of 3,

-The writers are given access to the task room which has been converted into a writing room with working computers. For today they must each write a 15 minute play. Each have their own genre [[Romance, Comedy & Horror]] The actors will perform these tomorrow.

http://oi54.tinypic.com/21n1d02.jpg

Day Eight- Tuesday 16th August 2011- The shopping task continues..
.
-Today the actors are given their scripts in their groups and for the whole day must rehearse.

-The housemate that has been assigned the role of director will be called to the diary room in the evening and is told a professional director will watch tomorrow’s performances and judge the best one. The housemate that is assigned the role of Director must correctly guess which group the director will choose as winners. The whole task depends on this decision!

Day Nine- Wednesday 17th August 2011- The final day of the shopping task...

-The three groups perform their 15 minute plays in the garden on the stage.

-The House is then told that the whole task was down to the director’s decision. The director reveals his/her prediction to the group while standing on the stage and then Big Brother announces which group the proper director judged as the winner. This reveals the shopping task’s results.

Day Ten- Thursday 18th August 2011- The housemates complete their shopping list as tomorrow’s eviction looms!

Day Eleven- EVICTION #1- Friday 19th August 2011- Emma presents as it’s revealed which housemate will become the first to be properly evicted from the house with the lowest vote’s to save. Now only 14 housemates remain in the house.

The diary room door will stay open for quick-fire.

I like this project, I really like the bedroom!

I don't like the fact that there are words on the walls, it's such an overdone idea. As is the 'mystery telephone!'

But other than that, well done :D

Yep I agree. I think you should stray from the clichés nd your house projects will flourish. One other thing I would say is scale, look at the size of the chairs in that task compared to the door lol Don't take any of that the wrong way, just advice :) Is this your first house though? Cos if it is it's really good. (like actually) I luv the eye nd the weekly plan and I can see you becoming one of the Fanmade section greats :D

Thanks, looking back the house could have been better, it's only my second house project and the only rooms I really adore are
