Havent seen this posted...

Stacey Solomon has revealed that she would "love" to take over from Davina McCall as the host of Big Brother.

The former X Factor hopeful, who went on to win the last series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, expressed interest in the role, but admitted that she would rather do more presenting than appear as a contestant.

"I would love to host the new Big Brother," she told the Daily Star. "It's a huge show and I'm so excited it's coming back.

"I think stepping into Davina McCall's shoes would be very hard as people do tend to think of her in that role but I reckon I could do a good job."

She continued: "I'd much rather host the show than be on it. After I'm A Celebrity... I will give reality TV a break. But as a host I could definitely get the contestants on side. Then I would stir things up a bit!"

Solomon, who is currently hosting ITV's Sing if You Can alongside Keith Lemon, confessed that she does not understand her popularity.

"I just don't know," she told the paper. "I'm just normal. I go home and I've got the same friends, the same family and everything's normal. I don't feel like a big star. I don't want to be anything I'm not. I'm just me.

"You can relate to people who just genuinely are themselves. People who saw my journey on X Factor know who I really am. I know when I see people like that on telly I can relate to them and I think that I can be their friend."

She added: "I meet normal people or fans and I think: 'I could be your friend, we're all the same.' I wouldn't ever not say hello. I don't think I am above anyone. I dunno - maybe they just feel sorry for me!"

I'd be happy with her doing it! Only problem would be the interviews.

I like Stacey. But not as a BB host. No sorry. She is like an even more retarded version of Davina. lol. Especially with the overdone mannerisms. Etc..

Stacey would be good on kids tv. Or yes.. stick with the singing. I am sure she has an album out soon!

I LOVE Stacey, I find her hilarious when she is just speaking. She is so sweet aswell.

However, I don't think she would be good for Big Brother as in interviewing them and making the viewers get excited about tasks, twists etc, that Davina could do so easily.

I LOVE Stacey but I think Id have more fun watching her host than BB itself :D
And I agree about the interviews...

She'd be a good BBLB host/co-host, or BBBM presenter, if they were to return!

I dont think she should be but if you think about it davina didnt act funny or like davina when she filmed dead set she looked all rehearsed. proves how live tv changes things.

Aa with when she was on X Factor, once she talked any length of time people got tired of her so I don't think she would make a good host.
Once she is really excited it's really hard to work out most of what she is saying.

She is fantastic on tv i really like her and she is actually very bright she was very good on the wright show this morning challenging callers on the subject of the tory scums method of making cuts that primarily target the working class.
She was great at putting her point forward but yes she is young and might struggle to stick the boot in during interviews but on the other hand she might harden up very quickly once she had to i would be actually happy to see her do it.

P.S. whatever simon cowell crap she appeared from is irrelevant i dont watch that bollocks i just judge here on what i have seen and she is pretty intelligent despite the dizzy appearance that she will probably grow out of.

On HolyMoly site they are saying that Emma and Brian will be co presenting in some form or another and are pretty sure of it .

If it is Emma & Brian then it could have been a lot, lot worse to be fair. This is Channel 5 we are talking about. At least one is a compotent, bangable young presenter and the other is a relatively successful ex housemate who has yet to cock his life up.

Yeah, I agree, I'd prefer Brian presenting on his own but I do like Emma as well and having two presenters is new and different so it might work

I don't like the idea of two presenters at all.

The interviews will be like they were in BB10 :bored:

Also hate the idea of Brian presenting, he wouldn't even be a suggestion if it wasn't for UBB.

Brian was always the most popular winner ever even before UBB confirmed it:nono: I think he will be fabulous and more than deserves a place there, he is the King of BB after all

I wont argue that fact but he isn't the king of presenting just because he won BB :p

Miss Solomon is far more intelligent, far more articulate than she presents herself to be.

The 'dumb Dagenham' persona never sat well with me from the second she kept slipping up with her 'faux' thicko accent and 'bimbo' act.

I like her spirit, I love her enthusiasm, l like her ability to be able to hold her own and very articulately - but I don't like this act she puts on - when she's clearly far smarter when she choses to be.

If she put on the fake Dagenham daft bimbo act: she'd need subtitles.

I'd far rather she had 'been herself' all along.

I don't think she puts on an act intentionally I think its probably a confidence issue she has/had.

If you have seen on tv recently she comes far more confident and comfortable.

Possibly - but I'm not convinced. When she was on 'BGT' or X Factor way back: she kept slipping in and out of her psuedo thick act - I recall many people commenting on it at the time.

I like her, don't get me wrong - I do. I just think she perhaps is (and has been) .....well, let's say, a bit more savvy, more manipulative, from the first time we saw her than she ever made out. How can I put this: that she knew the target audience/public that she would appeal to most: and played up on this. Totally on the ball but acted up on the bimbo bit to suit.

Only my opinion.

Jords

Stacey doesnt have a thick act, shes just a bit dopey at times, people like outing people as fakes, tis'all.
