This is Amazing, I agree with Locke.
Dannii was lovely - but boring and dull.
This year's X Factor is going to be the Big Brother 8 of X Factor anyway; it was going to die since Cheryl and King Simon left.
It might aswell die on a high, and believe me alot of bloke's dicks will be high the second Tulisa walks out. :amazed:

They're obviously trying to get more young current urban acts to auditioning this year [Probably because of Cher] Who will actually do well in the charts and not bores who old women coo over then go on to flop after a few months.

I bet their aim is to make Tulisa the new nation's sweetheart now Cheryl has gone to America. I hope it backfires on them though. Never been a fan of N Dubz and can't see her being a good judge.
Such a shame Dannii's going, she was the only one who wasn't afraid to air her opinion and give criticism. Simon especially in the last series was a lot softer on the acts and he lost his mean persona. I really hope this will be the last series and that it flops without Dannii, Cheryl and Simon.

LOL, oh dear...could this new line-up get any ****ing worse?
It's going to be bad enough without Simon and Cheryl, but now they're replacing Dannii? Speechless. Is there much point watching the new series? Not only that, but the X Factor USA line-up is extremely disappointing as well. I was expecting bigger names for the judging panel and Steve Jones as a co-host is one of the biggest jokes I think I've ever heard...
I expect X Factor UK is about to die a slow death.
Marsh.

Surely this is the time to bring back Sharon Osbourne.
The show can survive without Cheryl and Louis. But losing both Danni and Simon is a big blow. Only someone like Sharon could save it, not a no mark chav like Tulisa.
But then again they've chosen a very underwhelming panel for USA X Factor which won't set the world alight so I bet Simon's purposely trying to sabotage the show to get it axed because ITV refused to push it back to 2012.

Sharon made the first 4 good.
Season 5 was the start of its downfall in my opinion. While I enjoyed it, the auditions were boring from there on in and I felt I watched it out of tradition rather than because I wanted to.

Cheryl has a much more successful music career than her both with GA and solo. Plus she has years of experience on UK XF. So its no comparison.
Tulisa has no experience and is relatively unknown. Plus you need a big name to replace a big name.

I don't think a 60 year old woman like Osbourne could possibly know what relevant in today's pop climate.
What was interesting last year were people like Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel, Matt Cardle and Rebecca - especially Cher. I didn't support her enough last year and she was a really interesting act, along with Katie's bluesy voice.

And stop this 'Oh X Factor is doomed now' bollocks.
It was going downhill anyway, it was turning from a talent show into some Reality Show that came along and ruined everybody's year.
It's all epic during April/May to August, everyone's in high spirits and stuff.
Then comes X Factor, the chavy fans who won't shut up about it, the media making it out as if the entire world must watch it - know what actually?
This surprised me, The Royal Wedding was less hyped about than X Factor was last year and the year before that. :bored:
Dull and over rated - Simon and Cheryl leaving was always going to kick it in the balls.
Dannii has gone too, no one likes Louis and alot of you [and it's either Homosexual or Snobby] audiences can't stand Tulisa.
It's brilliant, she'll cause rows with the contestants.
Can you imagine it?
Tulisa; 'You just can't sing'.
Black Girl from South London; 'You wut? WHO ARE YOU LUV' TO TELL ME I CAN'T SING? YOU WANT GO THERE BITCH? YOU BETTER [insertxfactorlogoonmouthhere] OFF!'

Not in America she hasn't she was completley unknown, they didn't care she had a hit in the UK with songs they've never heard of.
Who exactly was Cheryl before XF? just a member of a girl group all her fame now came from the show. The only big hits shes had in the charts is after promoting it to 15 million people on XF, All her other tracks pretty much flopped.
Tulisa hasn't had success handed to her on a plate like Cheryl and not had a huge platform to promote her music. You listen to Tulisa live compared to Cheryl no question who is more vocally talented.
So it doesn't take success to still be talented. Its all unfair criticsm because of her background and music genre.

It's important a judge has a good understanding about a range of music.
The Elton John reference was an example that she knows very little outside of autotuned pop.
This will become more noticeable in the USA when she is faced with a broader range of music which is very popular over there and rarely seen here.

because she didnt know a certain EJ track from 1972 that proves she has no knowledge of music? yeah right.
The oldie judges often don't have a clue about modern day or recent artists. I'd say thats far more of a worry considering theyre actually trying to find a CURRENT artist. Theyre not searching for a 70s tribute act.

THANK you. Well put.
And that's why Louis is there - he balances out the older demographic, as well as being the 'comedy judge' with his facial expressions and mad comparisons. But we don't need two oldies on the show.
I like Tulisa but I dunno if she'd be that good a judge/mentor
Is it actually confirmed that she's taking over though? It's important a judge has a good understanding about a range of music.
The Elton John reference was an example that she knows very little outside of autotuned pop.
This will become more noticeable in the USA when she is faced with a broader range of music which is very popular over there and rarely seen here.
It wasn't that she should know everything, but she knows extremely little outside of Girls Aloud's genre of music.
Take the current American Idol finalists, country singers and imagine Cheryl coaching them.

how do you know? Anyways all judges have their musical preferences. Just because youre not into country doesnt mean you can't still choose a song that suits their voice. Sometimes its good to take them outside the box.
Your logic applies to all judges on all talent shows. They could all be considered unsuitable to mentor or judge certain genres of music. But its not always relevant.

Not so. I think she lead the panel towards a deeper understanding and appreciation of urban pop. That's why Simon was wittering on about 'the future' in regard to Cher Lloyd (and actually he got that wrong - he should have said 'the present') so he could keep up with Cheryl.
You have to have someone with a current knowledge of contemporary pop - not be a pop historian (and if you want that, you have Louis, and to a lesser extent, Barlow).

Musical preferences? Yes, but they at least know what they're talking about or dealing with when it comes to artists that differ from their own likes.
And taking them outside the box? I assume you mean make the artist something that the judge likes better, making them something completely different to who they are. Yet another manufactured popstar.
And how do I know?
Uh, because Cheryl's been on X Factor for the past three years and proven it.

I'm not talking about someone with historic knowledge, but a broader knowledge when it comes to classic influences, genres etc.
Proof of this is the fact Cheryl is never given any acts outside of her age bracket and pop capability.

oh do they now? Funny I don't see any proof of that. Or at least no more proof than what I see with Cheryl.
all the judges choose inappropriate songs from time to time. ALL of them do.

I'm sorry but the Elton John track in question (Crocodile Rock) is hardly an obscure one. The only musical insight Cheryl can offer is a producer's phone number.

End of X Factor in my opinion.

The X Factor UK has been completely turned upside down! who would have thought that all judges minus Louis would not be here for the next series!? I hope Gary Barlow is good :)

They should just put Take That on the panel. lol
And the fifth member can have Sinitta's role. Giant leaves and all.

No, no, no. That's why you have a TEAM of judges, each of whom brings some experience/expertise to the table. It's not important that each judge has a broad insight, as I've said. It's like saying Louis should know all about hip-hop acts and current chart trends. You need a balance. That comes with individual approaches.
It's going to look odd to have Barlow, Louis AND Osbourne (all in their 40s and 50s) and just ONE young judge judging a pop act for the charts TODAY. Not who knows what chart position Crocosh*te Rock got to.

I hated Cheryl but she was good because she was in a girl group for so long and went through the process herself once, plus she knew what would be good in the charts and stuff. Tulisa, I don't know, it's too early to say I guess. But they do need a younger judge.

well we're all gonna tune in and watch at first regardless.
Everybody was saying American idol was finished. But then JLo and Tyler proved popular and gave the show new energy and enthusiasm. Maybe that will happen with XF here.
As much as I think Tulisa isn't a big enough name I do think she has a personality and that could prove far more important than being a big name.

Except the viewers will drop like flies. She has a strong personality but not the sweet one that Cheryl put across, which had a broader attraction.
Her and her urban slang won't go down well with the older generation that watch it.
But, anyway, has this been confirmed? Because I have a strong feeling Tulisa wouldn't want to do a show like this. I wouldn't think it would be her cup of tea.

Its the older generation that ruins the show.
I reckon Tulisa will be hilarious to watch, she seems really opinionated, gutted about Dannii but it was the best decision for her to make IMO.
I am far more interested in XFUSA anyway. I think this year's XFUK will crash and burn unless the contestants - remember them? It's not all about the judges - are really good.
XFUSA is going to be fascinating.

I think youre making assumptions. She aint gonna sit there dropping slang like she's chatting outside MacDonalds. She can actually speak very articulately from what Ive seen of her. She's BY FAR the most mature and sensible one in N-dubz. Not saying much I know.

I can't get over it.
Garry Barlow seems a nice guy but oh so boring.
Louis is an annoyance.
Tulisa is nothing but a Chav and makes dreadful music.
Should've been Frankie Sandford instead. At least she's sexy.

Lol, true. But I really can't see her on a panel with Gary Barlow. That's like one of those crazy "What ifs".

Wouldn't surprise me if it's Simon's F U to ITV after they refused to push the show back to next year.
Well, Sinitta tweeted that Simon has said to pass on to her followers: "You will not be disappointed (who he has planned to replace Dannii)". So we shall have to see...

Might be Kylie.
Anyone who is writing Tulisa off should take the time to watch the documentary she presented called My Mum And Me, she comes across really well and seems like a genuine, nice person. I think she will make a great judge, and I say this as someone who isn't a fan of N-Dubz. Frankie Sandford, however, is so dumb it's not even funny. I really hope she isn't a judge on the show because she really has no credibility at all.

Oh dear, well we will see what happens, not sure i will watch this year because of last years blatant fixing and this years change in judges.
