Im pretty self-conscious if Im honest, mostly to do with how I look and what people will think of me if I behave in a particular way - at school.

At home I really dont give a crap lmao, and at parties I can loosen up if Im around a fair amount of people I know well and get on with.

So Id say, about 7.

I can be like that too, and I worry I might have offened somebody even though what I said wasnt really that bad anyway LOL.

Hmm.
- I won't change clothes if someone else is in the room - this includes taking off a shirt.
- I won't be seen in anything less than a t-shirt and shorts. Even if I were swimming.
- I often worry that people on the bus can hear my iPod and are judging what I'm listening to.
- I adjust my hair all the time.
- I check my blog for comments about 10 times a day; I'm not actually bothered by criticism I just crave attention and feedback LOL
- I'll do really stupid "polite" things in front of people - like always covering my mouth if I cough or yawn... it's really quite stupid.

But then again:
- I've been out with just pyjamas on.
- I wear ridiculously loud and obnoxious clothing in general.
- Oim fat loik.
- I generally don't judge people by appearance (in the long-term at least) so I generally expect the same courtesy.

Hard to gauge. I'm really shy around new people at social events yet I'll talk the ear off someone at the bus stop. I used to be worse though when younger and tend now not to give a sh!t so about 7

Quite a lot around new people, probably because I always end up doing something to embarrass myself.

Infront of my friends not at all!

Same but not on the bus just next to me in private study or in class. Ill just play music I think will be classed 'acceptable' :L

And whenever somebody looks at my iPod I tell them 'I have a load of crap on there', even though I dont think its crap its just so I feel I wont be judged too bad :D

One thing I'm always concious of is eating in public. If you grab a sarnie or something in town and are like...."is the filling around my mush??"

Fine if you're with a mate or something, you can ask them, but alone you could be paying at a counter with mayo down yer chin :joker:

I like to think I don't care what people care, but I always feel self concious if I'm not sure about an outfit I have on, or if I'm just getting random evils for no reason. I don't even own make-up though and I'll chat to just about anyone. So 5?

I'd say about a 4, I used to be a lot more self concious when I was younger

Sometimes I am sometimes I'm not. I feel so much more self-conscious in England than over here.

I'm very self conscious in the sense that I realize all that going on around me and can pick up on events and emotions but in the sense of this thread being geared more towards a 'how shy/insecure etc are you' about certain things then ... no not at all. I accept the outside world whilst remaining largely oblivious to it.

I don't care what people in general think of me, unless I'm friends with them. I have a big nose but I'm so used to people commenting I don't actually care about it now. :joker: Also I worry about if people think I'm funny, cos I've been told most of my personality is made up of my humour so I always worry (not online, just generally in person) people think I'm a complete fail and that I'm the only one who thinks I'm funny.

Even around people I don't care about making a twat out of myself though, I do on a regular basis. For instance this girl I met at a drama thing, her name was Elise but I wanted to call her Carmen cos she looked like some girl called Carmen I recognised. So I go up to her and say "car.." then realise and walk off. She thought I was a total lunatic.

Also I get so self conscious about my music. I barely let my girlfriend see the music on my iPod.

Hmm well I'm actually very self conscious. >_> Like:
-I will never change in the same room as someone else.
-I always worry my hair looks a mess, so I always keep fiddling with it even though it probably isn't necessary.
-Whenever I talk about the music I like, I always end up saying the artist's name in a lower voice because I worry that people around me will laugh at me.
-When I'm listening to music on the bus or whatever, I worry that someone might ask me a question and when I answer, I end up speaking to loudly.
-I hate answering my phone on the bus because everyone else can hear my conversation.
-I hate ringing people in general cause I always worry that the whole phone call is gonna be really awkward or that I'll **** up and say something stupid.
-I don't like wearing any shirt that feels tight. It makes me think everyone can see how fat I am. If I do have to wear a tight-ish T-Shirt, I'll always wear a hoddie or a shirt over it to conceal my body a little.

I have more examples but I'd be here all day if I listed them all. O_O

I don't think I am really,I'd say a 4 or 5 at the most, I like to be liked but if some people don't like me as I am, I will not alter myself for anyone.
