The Republicans are in a mess. Obama is definitely beatable next year but now Huckerbee's withdrawn they have no one who can beat him. Palin probably wont run cuz it'd be too embarrasing if she lost and lets face it if she happened to win the nomination she'd be crushed by Obama in a general election. Mitt Romney is a friend of Big business, nuff said. Michelle Bachman is an even bigger joke than Palin. They dont have one single viable candidate.

I wouldnt have given Huckabee much of a chance either tbh, he's a bit too far on the religious right to win mass appeal. The only Republican candidate I dont mind that much is Ron Paul, I like his noninterventionism and his support for civil liberties.

It is basically true though that they dont have a candidate who could actually beat Obama, and even if they did the killing of Bin Laden almost guranteed him another term anyway
