Mourinho will be by the time his managerial career ends.

But yes Ferguson is at the moment

also I think winning 4 titles with Aberdeen breaking the Glasgow dominance is more impressive than winning 10 with Rangers :)

His spell at Aberdeen is even more impressive then his time at United IMO

shame he's an arsehole really.

Well the ABU crowd will think that understandably but i've read some opinions on the net of some people who did state they didn't like him but said when they met him he was a nice person and had a lot of time for them.

Of course there is some bad stuff, depends what mood you catch someone in:D.

I'm bias and do think Fergie is the best manager but also respect the acheivements of people like Cloughie Shankly and even Wenger etc..

Current managers like Mourinho and Guardiola will be future managerial legends and although they like some of us weren't around in the time where football wasn't as rich as it is now would find it hard to grasp just how limited the budget and resources were:shocked:.

I can respect other Mangers too but certainly all teams currently in the Premiership would love to have had a Manager that has brought the success he has to the very best Manchester club, namely Manchester United.

Of course he is the best Manager, his record speaks for itself,he doesn't need to say a word.

It was a tough task for Man United to start from scratch after the Munich crash and there was the inevitable ups and downs but no-one would ever know how the club would be like now if he didn't take over from Ron Atkinson.

It's not hard to respect the acheivements of other clubs even if you dislike them e.g. I wanted Liverpool to win in Istanbul and they did:shocked:.

Tell me about it, I dislike AC Milan too (Inter are my Italian team) so Liverpool were the lesser of two evils in the Champions League even if Liverpool are United's greatest rivals..

I know Man Utd and Liverpool are big rivals,I do like Gerrard though. I don't mind any British team doing well in Europe as long as they play good football, the only team I would never support to win against a European one or indeed even another domestic team is Man City.

I like a couple of their current younger English players coming through, dislike Gerrard and Carragher for obvious reasons and the Kopettes would say the same about some of the United players:D.

No he isn't. Most of them titles came when his team could outspend every other team in the league. It's no great achievement spending the most money and winning the league, it's to be expected.

All great teams spend money. This season he didn't even spend much and done great things with a average to good squad. I really don't like United and I really don't like Fergie, but he's a great great manager.

Man City have plenty money and have spent multi millions, they still cannot win the Premiership though no matter who their Manager is.

A famous Liverpool ex player and pundit said once of the 92 side ''You cannot win the league with kids'' only to be proved wrong.

Sir Alex was totally involved in rebuilding United and will leave a legacy, he don't care if people dislike him which is a good attitude to have IMO anyway:D.

He has got to go down as one of the best for rebuilding his squad so many times. Normally when players retire the manager decides to too, but Alex revitalizes his team on more than one occasion. They're the team that's probably got the longest run of dominence I can remember

This current team has rightly got lots of criticism over the season but there's two sides to every story.. truth is this side although contains a few players nearing retirement or a few entering into the 30+ years, the main crux of the team has been playing with each other for ages so know their strengths and weaknesses inside out:).

This United side may lack the flamboyant attacking qualities that the likes of Ronaldo had or the defending of Steve Bruce etc but what it does have is never say die attitude, siege mentality and lots of team ethic.

I dont think Ferguson is greatest of all time.
He has great success and excellent manager in many different ways.
Tactics though he fails and this is very important at the very highest level.
Tactics do not matter much if you are playing teams that are also tactically inept and so the better standard of players will simply be enough for you to win most times
Once you need to win with tactics Ferguson fails.

Tactics are of course important of what postions a player is in on the pitch but they do not determine the outcome of a match it's what the players do on the day because football is unpredictable:).
