I have a problem, you see there I was about to put The Sims 2 into the computer - when suddenly I realized:

When I press the 'Eject Button' the ******ing CD Door thing won't open at all.

It's like dead.

What has happened?

I recently got my computer fixed - and before It went away the CD Door worked fine - and now it's being a wanker.

So does anyone know what's wrong or how to fix it?

Ikr :bawling:

No well I got it fixed, so it is kind of new.
But IDK why it's being silly now with the CD Door.

*wonders how an inanimate object can be a wanker?* :conf:

In reply to question: if truly jammed - get screwdriver out, dismantle, bust the drawer and replace the CD drive.

It could simply be disconnected.....

Have you tried doing it on the computer, i.e. Start > (My) Computer > Right Click on the disc > Eject

Yeah there now, it says like 'An Error Occurred'

How would I replace it?
Do you need to buy like a new one?

If you aren't confident,,,.take it to someone who can replace the CD rom.

Mine used to do that every now and then.

Try turning off the computer manually and then switch it off and unplug it at the mains. Then try again, see if that works :)

There is usually small hole on the front of the CD drives for emergencies like this. Push an unwound paper clip in there and the CD tray will open.

Was just about to suggest that. It happened to me a few years back and then my friend told me about the little hole (that I had always wondered what it was for).

In fairness: I could have quoted the post - but there were a few other wee suggestions in there that I thought might help.

Seems we've all got the same idea though !!! Great minds and all that!
