Hey everyone, now I've been hard at work on my newest house project and by far is my best- not to blow my own trumpet. All the pictures you see will be rendered as it makes the house look even better. I'm 70% there, the only rooms left to do are the Dining area, bedroom, entrance and diary room.

The theme for the house is 8-bit, I've incorporated a lot of 8-bit designs strongly into the house, mainly in the kitchen and living area.

Here's the eye, goes with the 8-bit theme...

Here's the eye with it's colorful 8-background, this would feature in an advert for the show besides the Channel 5 logo...

http://oi53.tinypic.com/ve9map.jpg

Finally here's what one of the adverts would look like...

Thoughts and feedback are much appreciated. Will finish the house soon :)

Whatever. I had this in the pipeline for ages. My avatar from ages ago-

That was hinting at it, in-fact for the past couple of months I've been making wallpaper and flooring pieces for this project. I have not stolen this idea whatsoever.

In cuda's thread he discussed a Union Jack Diary Room, which you copied exactlly. I smell a rat, and I think someone needs an apology.

Wut. I don't really care to be honest, I have and will not ever copy other people's designs and that is the honest truth, I put a lot of work into these house designs and quite frankly who do you think you are to start stuff like this, leave this thread ta. Now, I'll start to upload the first parts of the house soon!

I was only offering my view. Sorry, I didn't know that just if you made a topic you decide who gets to post in it. I will post at my will, thanks.

And now, I shall be extra critical.

Here's the entrance to the house...

Just a small corridor with 8-bit designs and a camera run along it...

http://oi52.tinypic.com/emyx4.jpg

The doors at the end lead to the dining room that leads to the bedroom and diary room. Actually this house plan will explain better...

http://oi53.tinypic.com/29aa7d.jpg

Next time we'll see the dining area!

Good work Joe!

What for? Having my own idea that somehow is similar to yours?

And thanks. I love the entrance.

Hey, now it's time to see the entrance room which holds the dining table and
doors to the diary room and bedroom...you can see the entrance doors by the mirror...

http://oi55.tinypic.com/fa1xeb.jpg

The dining table is a cafeteria bench and seats 12, you can also see the diary room door and bedroom here...

Next time- the colorful bedroom!

Now it's time for the bedroom, I really want to get this project up and out there- it's definatley my best yet...

So here's the bedroom door we saw earlier,

http://oi56.tinypic.com/21od72s.jpg

Now here is the entrance door to the smallest, most cramp and colorful bedroom yet...

http://oi55.tinypic.com/eijib.jpg

Here's the view from the far corner, we can now see there are 7 double beds that are all rather annoyingly close to each other. The bedroom sleeps 14 though on launch only 12 will enter...

http://oi53.tinypic.com/21l0ft5.jpg

Finally here's a high-angled view from the door, you can see there's a toilet and a camera run running across the far end...

http://oi55.tinypic.com/14uxh5k.jpg

Next time we're going to see the living room, I was going to show the garden first but I can't show the garden without giving the living area away so the living area will have to come first.

Looks good in a 2D image, but if I had to watch that for 16 weeks I would be dead due to numereous, severe epileptic fits. Also it isn't very practical, there are hardly any mirrors for camera runs on the wall, basically limiting what we get to see from interesting angles. And I think a whole house with those blocks would just get boring after week 1... it would be more overdone than the paint splats on the wall, and be remembered as the house that had the same, tedious design throughout.

:joker: don't worry, it is a bit loud isn't it. The whole house isn't like this :L

I see... so does it fade into less obtrusive colors/blocks as the house goes on?

I really lurv the texture on the walls but isn't it way to small to be practical?

Curious what you mean by the texture, the pattern? And yes I agree it is too small, I rushed this room and may expand it if I have time when finished :)

Living Room time!

Very tongue in cheek, vibrant colors, pop-arty!

There's sort of a universe exploding in the center of the vibrant round sofa's and the 8-bit theme remains on the floor...

Small. Looks good on a computer but the look would be ruined when you have Josies ****ty (Yes, girls do poo) knickers lying on the pixellated blocks and Steves metal leg taking up 3/4 of the bedroom.

Bout time ya'll saw the garden!

http://oi53.tinypic.com/zja51i.jpg

There's separate areas for cliques to form, the first being the 3D bench target...

http://oi55.tinypic.com/spg8bk.jpg

The second is the big blue hang-out that you need to climb the purple steps to get in-to, you can also see the kitchen door here...

http://oi53.tinypic.com/2hzlrh2.jpg

There's the gorgeous jacuzzi and pool area, just look at that gleaming blue water...

http://oi51.tinypic.com/3163i94.jpg

Looking back at the main house...

http://oi52.tinypic.com/2yuk6yf.jpg

The smoker's bench this year stays with the 8-bit theme, and is the third hang-out for cliques, also the bathroom door is besides it...

http://oi51.tinypic.com/fmudr9.jpg

The bathroom next which I must admit is not my favourite room, that's the kitchen but you'll have to wait and see that until after the bathroom. Then after that it's the diary room!

I really like this, Joe! I agree that some of the spaces are a little small, but that's ok coz I love what's there :D

I like the little bits and bobs in the garden, like the red and white seating bit, and the blue seating bit :)

Also the pool area is pretty snazzy too

Wanna see mooooooore!

It's a bit harsh on the eyes but I like the concept - not sure though about the dining area being miles away from the kitchen.
