I tend to like the 'little' nibble sized ones - that have a peppery kick to the flavour. Okay in small doses - too many and they are sickly.

I've never had a scotch egg, I think you can get veggie ones in the UK but they don't even sell normal ones here.

freshly made with feebly cooked egg with a slightly runny yolk YES. but I hate cold eggs and hard boiled eggs so shop bought ones I just eat the sausage meat hehehehe
