Basic Biography.
She won the X-Factor in 2006 and shot to fame. She then went on to have a worldwide smash hit with "Bleeding Love" going #1 in over 30 countries including the USA. and a smash album 'Spirit' going #1 in over 10 countries. She is the global superstar Leona Lewis. Leona went on to have many hits from Spirit, "A Moment Like This", "Bleeding Love", "Better In Time/Footprints In the Sand", "I Will Be", "Run", and ofcourse "Forgive Me". She was the only artist in the UK of the decade to have 3 platnum singles (A Moment Like This, Bleeding Love and Run). Spirit went on to sell more than 7 million copies making it a hugely sucessfull album

After her Spirit Success, she then released Echo in 2009, with the huge hit "Happy" Charting in at #2. Aswell as her second single "I Got You", aswell as "My Hands" feauturing on the smash game Final Fantasy! Leona did well with this album and it has sold over 2 million copies worldwide to date so far. She then went on to her tour "The Labirinth" which was a sellout, and was amazing.

Leona Lewis has hit back at critics who have described her as "boring".

The 'Bleeding Love' singer insisted that while she may be more conventional than more outlandish popstars such as Lady GaGa, she still has just as much to offer the music industry as anyone else.

"I don't care what anyone says. I'm not boring," Lewis told The Mirror. "Unless you know me, I don't really care about your opinions. I couldn't care less.

"Lady Gaga does her crazy thing and she is great. I definitely have something different to offer. I'm all about the music and songs."

Lewis was recently confirmed to play BBC Radio 1's biggest ever free music festival, the Hackney Weekend 2012.

She has praised Adele, calling her "awesome" and admitting that she would love for the pair to duet.

Lewis, who won The X Factor in 2006, was recently lined up as a guest judge on Bravo's Platinum Hit. The reality songwriting competition premiered last night on the channel.

Leona Lewis has confessed that her record label Syco is "scared" about her new album.

The X Factor winner has been experimenting with different sounds on the upcoming record, including working with grime producer Naughty Boy.

Asked if her record label bosses understand her new album, she told The Guardian: "They're slightly scared!"

Lewis went on to reveal how she has resisted label pressure to release albums more frequently, predicting that she "would've had a gazillion albums by now" had she given in.

Speaking of her breakout hit song 'Bleeding Love', Lewis admitted that she chose it as a single, despite reluctance from her label: "Everyone said, 'It's weird, it won't work on the radio'."

However, since the song went to number one in 34 countries, Simon Cowell "really trusts my instincts" and allows her "any amount of time I want" to complete her records. "Simon and I mostly agree but there have been arguments definitely," she said.

Lewis's new album Glassheart will be released on November 28 in the UK, following the release of the record's lead single 'Collide' on September 4.

Not surprising really considering her last album was a bit of a flop. I think this album will either make or break Leona.

she'll never be a great performer on stage. She just doesn't have that free abandon and confidence needed. It's something you have or you don't. Some have the voice and the performing skills(like Beyonce) but Leona really only has the voice.

I love Leona but she deserves better material than this single. It has an awkward structure and is more irritating than catchy. The opening verse is boring and doesn't really go anywhere.

The album cover is horrible. Whoever designed it wants firing. Nasty Times New Roman font which you can see on all the old Barbra Streisand albums. And the crappy title Glassheart? It should have been 'Glass Heart' at least.

and the highest collide has been on radio airplay is 47 ever. Compared to Pixie lotss #3, so Leona is selling so well compared to Pixie Lotts which is spoon fed to sell.

Leona Lewis's release date for her new album Glassheart has been revealed.

The 'Bleeding Love' singer's third studio LP will be available on March 26, 2012, according to Amazon.

This means Glassheart has been delayed by four months, having originally been earmarked for November.

The 26-year-old announced on Twitter earlier today that her LP would be delayed until 2012.

She has previously expressed her concern that her record label Syco is "scared" about Glassheart's experimental sound.

4 months is quite a bit.....

I decided to listen to them on Youtube out of pure intrigue...I wish I didn't.

Hurt is just plain awful, the backing track is weird and it completely clashes with her vocals. It's completely unlistenable to me, a real mess. Colorblind was mechanical and just bored me to tears, she took a beautiful song and made it utterly unremarkable. Iris wasn't awful but the original song is so overplayed and cliched that she couldn't really go wrong with it.

Her voice is too cold to carry off these songs really, her vocals are good like always but there's no emotion or humanity behind her voice.

I decided to listen to them on Youtube out of pure intrigue...I wish I didn't.

Hurt is just plain awful, the backing track is weird and it completely clashes with her vocals. It's completely unlistenable to me, a real mess. Colorblind was mechanical and just bored me to tears, she took a beautiful song and made it utterly unremarkable. Iris wasn't awful but the original song is so overplayed and cliched that she couldn't really go wrong with it.

Her voice is too cold to carry off these songs really, her vocals are good like always but there's no emotion or humanity behind her voice.
