Oh, driving lesson that early sucks, at least there will be no school traffic to contend with this week. I'm all good, woke up at half 7 and already overdosed on coffee. How many lessons you had so far fro driving?

Yeah true, I've had quite a lot now, about 15 I think, I was a really nervous driver at first & put off learning for ages but I'm starting to get the hang of it, should be booking my test soon  How are you finding Bristol btw? It's the nearest city to me so I'm there quite a lot

Wonderful I shall harrass you for a lift when drunk.
Yeah, loving Bristol. Will like it more when I actually get my first pay check so I can do a bit more. I'm trying to save up for a car, a cello and my masters so I have to try and limit my spending for the moment.
What car do you reckon you'll get when you get one?

Haha yeah, for a hefty fee of course  Oh cool, so you've got a job there already, are you planning to study there then?
And I've kind of already got one, I'm insured on a silver vauxhall corsa, it was my brothers but he went away to uni so I've been driving it while he's away then we'll share time when he gets back & I've passed I think

Yeah I took a waiting job atm to keep the money coming in and a roof over my head. I usually can get a job straightaway when I look and I hate being out of work, it's so mind numbingly dull.
Still toying whether to do my masters here in England or go back to Australia to do it. If I go to Oz though it's really expensive because I'm an international student, but there is an open day in Bristol soon about studying over there so I'm going to go there and see if there is any funding available and what my options are.
That's cool you have a car already, that's one expense you don't have to face after passing your test.

Yeah, I bet it's a lot better than doing nothing. Studying in Australia sounds like it would be amazing, I looked at sutdying abroad but didnt think it was feasible in the end
Anyway I'd better be off now, see ya :wavey:

In a restaurant as a waiter. :)

Are you enjoying it? Is it a nice place? Do you get to do your cocktail shaking? :)

It's ok, the customers are a bit scummy now and again, but the tips are good, so for the moment it'll do. :)

Hmm.. we don't get to keep our tips in the restaurant where I work. They all get put together until there's enough for a cracking day out or something. We've got about 2k at the mo so bossman is going to get us all a corporate membership at a gym..
I take it you git somewhere to live.. are you sharing?

I hate sharing my tips and luckily we don't share them out. We have sections so we look after our own tables from start to finish.

Yeah, that's probably a better way of doing it. It doesn't bother me too much as I work the bar more than the restaurant but there has been a few times I've had a 20 pound tip and it is quite annoying putting it in the jar.

Being a waiter would be horrible imo. As carrying loads of plates they could like smash, it happened to my friend :laugh3:

I'm well balanced in carrying many heavy plates thanks to working in 5* hotels.

Howmuch money do you earn from tips a day? and howmuch do you get paid there anyway

Haha.. plates don't bother me, but I must admit, I do have a terrible fear of spilling a tray of hot coffees over someone.
