View Full Version : What live acts do you feel you have to see before you die?
Thought this would make for an interesting topic. What acts - not just every ol' act you like - what acts who are still or who still have the possibility of touring do you feel you HAVE to see in your lifetime? You can include those you have already ticked off the list as a reference point.
I'll get back with mine later.

the two main feasible ones that are both threatened by the increasing amount of nada in their careers are the Bowie and Kate Bush... though the latter has been busy lately, I don't think she'll tour again.
there's loads still touring that I idolise but I think are just past it :( - Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Beach Boys (ish)
but then there's a fair few who I reckon still have it, and would love to see - Fleetwood Mac, what's left of Pink Floyd, what's left of The Who.
As for current artists, the main ones I'd die to see are Arcade Fire, The Killers, MIA and () Beyoncé.
Depeche Mode : Included for the obvious reason that the previous two times were the BEST NIGHTS OF MY LIFE and the natural fact that I have to see them again. For more proof : p-Fr9KSKf0Q.
HIM : They are the next biggest band who draw huge passion from me who I have yet to see. Ville Valo is the sexiest man walking the face of earth, they have a huge catalogue of amazing songs I have never heard in person, they are one of the first bands I proper got into ... I could go on. Amazing guitarist? Check. Amazing drummer? Bassist? Anything? Check. Check out Sleepwalking Past Hope live to see just how good they are. Best song for the uninitiated is Join Me In Death.
Lady GaGa : Amazing pop songs. Amazing live performance. Biggest phenomenon on the planet. End of.
Marilyn Manson : A twisted, drug addicted nutter leading his twisted, drug addicted, bisexual band of loons through the poppiest, sexiest metal songs of the 90's? Yes please. Been crap on the last tour but the new album looks very, very promising.
The Cure : A huge catalogue consisting of both the most chart unfriendly with the most chart friendly would make this an unreal experience. Just an awesome, awesome act. Need I go on?
Will post more later.

Dylan plays in Cork virtually every year. He is apparently really, really good if you are a dedicated fan but crap if your not. His the type of guy to play a concert full of B-Sides and rarities if he feels like it.
Bowie will surely, surely have one last hurrah :(.

I think a small intimate venue is better than a stadium.

Pendulum.
They came here about a year ago, I wasn't into them so missed it.
Then they're coming to Oxegen in July, I can't go because no bastard is willing to go with me.
Then they're coming to a Festival beside me in a week or two, I can't go because the tickets are too dear and I only found out about it yesterday.
I must see them, before I die.

I'd be perfectly happy with a Take That 4 tour every couple of years.

Well they're the only act I'm fanatical about, I don't think going to see anyone else would be quite the same. I'd rather just listen to other people's music rather than see them live, cheaper for one thing.

Blink 182 and tbh Gaga, her live shows look amazing.
Wouldn't mind seeing 30STM again because I missed half the set last time due to my friends. :/
