I don't think it is. I don't like girly girls either so you know.

Nope.

Have never understood why some gay guys feel the need to become so feminine. I'm sure a lot of it is to do with upbringing but there is a limit... you're not forcefed eyeliner and gossip :bored:

Nope.

People say I'm quite camp, but they say I'm one of the most confusing people they've ever met as I go from being really camp and feminine one minute to being manly and that the next rofl.

But nah it's not homophobic, camp people piss me off aswell.

Well actually, no I find them quite funny - like Scott on here, he's camp [or at least his post are] but I find him hilarious.

I just hit overly camp people like Dennis from BB9.

Campness is a personality, not a sexual orientation

Problem is that there are very few gay people around and so 99% of people see only the ones on TV (like the Scottish queen last night on BGT) and so they think that all gays are like Loius Spence and all lesbians are like Martina Navratilova

And no it isn't homophobic to dislike certain types of behaviour like OTT campness.

Is it racist to dislike ghetto speak and urban 'y'get me?' atittude? No.

This.

Lesbians too. I know a girl who 'turned' lesbian. And along with that, cut her hair short and started walking, talking and dressing like a bloke. Why? Whats the point? And why would another lesbian want to go out with a girl who looks and acts like a man? Doesnt that kinda ruin the whole point of it?

ahaha, i always wondered this too! surely if you're a lesbian it's cos you fancy women not women trying to be men:conf:

And on the camp question, I think Nate said it best "Campness is a personality, not a sexual orientation"

Yup. I know a few people like that. Also those that think being gay means you have to be totally disgusted by the mere mention of a woman. So they fake outrage whenever anything to do with women is mentioned when you know its all a load of ****e

Well, it's a behaviour. It's more about mannerisms than personality.

Not at all, I dislike overly camp gay guys too.

Probably the most annoying thing though is when you first come out to people and people seem to think you're some sort of 'lesser gay' than the uber camp guys just because you have practically no typical gay mannerisms at all and like sport etc. :bored:

When it comes to lesbians using dildos, hey, they need SOMETHING.

Shaun
03-06-2011, 05:18 PM
I think the dildo point is a bit silly since they're strictly plastic pieces for sexual pleasure, and don't have a whole human attached to them that have many potential causes for aversion :p It's a bit like saying using lube must mean we're sexually attracted to liquids.

Speaking of lesbians, there was one in my year at school and before she was a lesbian she was a normal girly girl but then she came out and she cut her hair short, started listening to death metal and has dyed her fringe blue. :L

Lesbians are, by definition, also feminists so rebel against the stereotype of what an attractive woman should look like by heterosexual standards. Some gay women find 'butch' women very attractive.

Of course there are 'lipstick lesbians' that embrace typically 'girly' things like make up and spiked heels.
