When you have takeaway delivery is any of your oder evry missing and if it is what do you do forget it or phone?

This happen a lot to me :bawling: I think its a way to make more money and there think no one will ring up

Mainly with Pizzas and the extra's you order at the time, I have had lots of problems with those, I always ring up, once I said it wasn't worth the bother to come back with the thing that was missing and they gave me my next whole order free.

It's always worth complaining. I have never had any problems with Chinese takeaways though.

OMFG that happened to me on Friday with a chippy.

I ordered like a Baguette thing and they gave me it cold - I rang back and they were all 'Sorry, next time you order from us you can have it free.'

I was like 'Any meal free? That's grand thanks.'
They were all 'No, No Sir - just the baguette free.' and I was like 'So what if I change what I get in the baguette?' and they were like 'No it has to be the same as what you got tonight.'

I just hung up, kicked a wall and hurt myself and then went to sit down really depressed.

Btw I forgot to add, whatever you do remember to be nice because especially if you're ordering sauce, you never know what they can drop in there "accidentally" cough snot! Also remember that you don't know what kind of kitchen this food is coming from, is it clean, did all the assistants clean their hands before touching your food, when was the heath inspector last there, maybe it's one of those places a rat was found dead within the noodles.

well i ask them to read back the order i thunk its just a way of makeing more money say there forget i portion of chips well that dont seem bad but if there do that to ever one it soon add up the 1st 2 or 3 times i did not phone i sure they do it to ever one

you should check before the delivery guy leaves. Refuse to pay if its not all there.

I doubt they do it deliberately as people wouldn't order again so they'd lose good repeat business...which is crucial.

On a rare occasion when I'll take a notion for the most disgusting of things: a kebab - I always ask for separate sauce and salad.

The amount of times it's delivered with it all in the kebab - no use at all...... since I like the meat piping hot, sticking it in the m'wave - hot salad really isn't the best.

They began to learn pretty quickly when I would refuse and ask for another one to be delivered and handing the delivery guy it back - for it to be replaced with the order I asked for.

I ordered pizza, chips & a bottle of coke to be delivered a few weeks ago. Order came I took it off the guy without even really looking at him (I had paid online).
When I got indoors I realised I was minus the coke I had paid for. 5 mins before he came he called me for directions, so I had his mobile number. I rang him back and told him 'you forgot my coke'. I was expecting him to apologise and say no problem i'll go get it. He gave me a mouthful! 'What do you want me to do about it? You expect me to go back to the shop and then come back with your coke?' 'I will give it to you next time you order' I was passed being polite at this stage and shouted 'YES I EXPECT YOU TO BRING IT TO ME, I'VE PAID FOR IT!' along with some expletives, and he replied 'sorry, sorry, i'll go get it for you'.

Roughly 10 mins later he calls me back 'If you want your coke come and pick it up' I said 'right ok' and put the phone down. I then rang the main shop number to speak to the boss and give them a mouthful about their gobby employee.
The same bloke picks the phone up and I said 'Oh got back to the shop quick didn't you? Can I speak to your boss please?' He said 'yes of course i'll go get him'... few second pass and a voice comes on 'yes what is the problem please?' I start ranting at him and it clicks... it's the same bloke.

*Rage mode*

I just said 'look mate, bring me my ****ing bottle of coke that i've already paid for or i'm going to come to your shop and cause mayhem.' 5 mins later another phonecall - 'your coke is on your doorstep'. He had left the bottle there and ran off :joker:
