Chewys thread about The Human Centipede got me thinking about this. Which, if any films, TV programmes have really disturbed/sickened you? I haven't even seen that film but I can't stop thinking about after just reading the review and seeing the Trailer (thanks for that Niall) on it. I feel so sick now:bawling:

I've heard bits and pieces about that Serbian one, sounds vile. Haven't heard of the other one though

its a rape revenge film

its weird though because when the characters deserve it, you actually want them to suffer

one guy, she puts fish hooks through his eyelids, and puts fish guts in his eye sockets, so birds come and peck his eyes out and he ends up dead, another guy she pulls out his teeth and chops his wang off, and another she shoves a shotgun up his ass and shoots

ew sounds pretty graphic but yeah if there's a reason for it and they're bad people it's not as bad

I thought I spit on your grave was worse actually, although I was quite drunk when I saw A Serbian Film so that might have been why. I found The Shining pretty disturbing as well, that bit where there's a guy in a pig/bear outfit giving oral to that other guy, it was so weird :/

My son rented this a while ago and he said the same but I couldn't bring myself to watch it, anything involving rape, I find disturbing. The other movie I found disturbing was The Strangers I think it was called

3 Guys 1 Hammer is the only thing that's really left a lasting impression on me, probably because it was real.

Irreversible was pretty disturbing too, but it was an amazing film in the end.

It really was awful to watch :( I can usually watch most disturbing things and not be too bothered by them but I couldn't get through watching that one, really disturbed me.

It's the most disgusting ways of dying you can think of though, noone deserves that. And she killed the disabled kid who wasnt even that bad and wasnt really a part of it

Well, I suppose you always have it in the back of your mind that it's not real, so when you know that this actually happened to the person then I don't know how you couldn't be disturbed by it, I'd be pretty concerned about anyone who wasn't really

I have that file on my hard drive but not watched it. I saw the opening 2 seconds and was like, woah there, I don't think I wanna see this!

however..

I did watch one where a father tries to revive his little boy after falling from a balcony. The boy is clearly dead but he never gives up. Incredibly sad. The father actually kills himself with an overdose shortly afterwards and theres a video of that too with his suicide note by his bed! :bawling:

Movies - and some of the best ones - come from incredibly creative minds - regardless of gendre - from those regarded as 'sick' to the best 'thrillers / dramas / pyschological type movies - regardless of how depraved they may seem.

What does disturb me is the more frequent posts from the fms who have a need to discuss their sex lives and that it entails (fantasy life or otherwise) - on any forums, never mind just Tibbs.

Why anyone would have the need to 'share' such information beggars belief....unless of course, it is for nothing more than attention seeking....which is disturbing in itself - never mind the 'alleged' revelations which often are of a sordid nature.

pertaining to the the question posed however; the most disturbing thing I have viewed of late was the sickening abuse and torture as shown by the Panorama documentary last Tuesday evening. Sick, stomach churing and utterly reprehesible....

It was the Last House on the Left (2009), because of a rape scene I found that the most disturbing experience I've had in the cinema.

And of stuff I've downloaded, I recently watched Grace, pretty disturbing.

Although I try avoid spoilers about things I'm going to watch, I usually find out a bit about horror films before I see them now, just in case they're too much.

When I was a kid the movie Twister scared the **** out of me. Kept thinking a tornado was gonna come out of nowhere and kill everyone.

And Deep Impact. Always thought a comet was going to come and end the world after that.

I have yet to watch a movie about the end of the earth since watching that when I was about 6 :)

But I like the movie Twister now

About every horror film (except the ones with monsters, I can deal with them)

I don't get why people enjoy them to this day..last thing I'd want to watch

I'm a sick individual. The scarier, the more stomach churnig the movie - the better.... possibly because it is fiction - but when it's based on reality - that's when abhorrence and disgust kicks in.

Basically...

...theres a Priest and he's wearing nothing but his shirt, then the Nun kneels down in front of his ass and he starts craping all over her and she spreads it around on her face like face paint. She was eating his **** too.

I nearly vomited when I watched it. I only got halfway through. God knows what the **** happened later on. :bawling:

My sister bribed me into watching a Freddie Krueger film when I was about 8 or 9 and afterwards I was too scared to sit on the loo, sit in the car or just generally sit down anywhere on sofas because I thought Freddie's claw was going to rip through and stab me. Also there was a scene where his mouth/tongue comes through the phone and I was terrified of answering the phone lmao.

The Shining was a real "didn't sleep for days" film too but I grew to love it and it has become one of my favourite films now.

ALSO I don't know why the hell this happened but I watched The Birds when I was in Year 3 and I'm sure that's where my fear of seagulls comes from. They WILL attack one day!

Seagulls are evil swines! When I lived by the coast as a kid I remember walking along the promenade and a seagull flew down and attacked this old couple for their fish and chips. They were so scared bless them.

I remember when I was about 10...going to a sleepover and they made me watch a horror called rumpelstiltzskin I think it was. I was terrified for weeks.

Thats the only film that has ever scared me. And Im pretty sure it was because of my age, was the first horror film I had seen. Been trying to find it for a while to see if it was actually scary but not 100% sure on the name and nothing has shown up with searches
